Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

Admission Dates | Admission Criteria | Compare schools | Fee Details

Hi Sakshi,

My husband and I, just like many other parents in our shoes, had heard many stories about the 'battle' that parents have to fight while seeking nursery admission for their kids. We had taken tips on the do's & dont's from our friends and colleagues who had fought that battle in the recent years for their wards, and were quite well prepared. It was then that one of our friends gave us a reference about this wonderful forum of yours.

Every parent wants the best for their child and we are no exception. While we had done an in-depth research on the schools shortlised by us (and even those which were not), the forum did provide that 'extra' on knowledge or insights shared by you, your team, or the other parents.

While every parent wanted an answer pertaining to their situation or set of questions on this forum, it was quite disappointing to see not many parents in Gurgaon contributing at all (a stark difference when compared with Noida or Delhi parents). It was, however, thoroughly gratifying for me and my husband (who replied to many parents from my account, when I was busy on my official concalls, meetings or occupied with the kid) to have helped other parents in whatever little way that we could.

Our good deeds have paid us. While some parents have struggled to get an admission in the schools of their choice this year (and that includes some of our friends as well), except one school, our daughter got through in all the other 6 schools that we had shortlisted, which included Scottish High, Shikshantar, DPS-45, Heritage and Shriram Aravali.

I would be failing in my duty if I were not to thank you for all your help, advise and suggestions. While we did not meet or speak, yet I somehow felt a strong connect with you, deep down. Thank you very much. May God bless you, your team and your family !!!

I and my husband will continue to remain available to contribute in any manner desired by you, now or in the future, or to be of any help to parents in any form.

Once again, we both express our sincere gratitude to you, Sakshi !

Warm regards,

Payal

Heartiest Congratulations first of all, for getting  admission in most sought after schools of Gurgaon.

To be very honest, both of  you have been most helpful parents in last three year for Gurgaon threads.

I don't know why only Gurgaon parents are not ready to help each other.( Except very few ) from last few years.

Thanks for your Gracious Remarks.

Wishing your Kiddo success in future.

Yes, i would request  you and your spouse to help Gurgaon parents in coming years, as no parent has so much in depth knowledge and very few parents come forward to help  even  they have knowledge.

Thanks again and may God bless your family :)

Hi Payal, I found you most knowledgeable parent for Gurgaon.

Congrats again.

Keep helping the parents in future also as we need parents like you.

Best !!

Thank you Dr. Juhi for your approbation :)

hi Payal(and Mr. Husband),

TL;DR

In your experience how much role distance plays as you got admissions offers from many schools which are at different locations. I can see points for distance in admission criteria but is there more to that. Around when or at what stage do schools verify address by home visit etc. (pre or post admission confirmation)

I am seeking admissions for my son for Nursery 2022-23 and researching since April and its really help seeing first hand and in-depth information by people like you/Nitin/Juhi.

I live in sector 22 and all schools i am targeting(DPS-45, Heritage, TSRS, SNG) are quite far. So i will move my residence closest to school where my son will get admission. Till that i am planning to give address of anyone relative/known. So would like to know about the question asked.

TIA

Hi Avinash,

Out of all the schools that our kidoo got admission to, only one (scottish high) did address verification and that was done pre admission confirmation. For the others, I believe the address proofs given by us (adhaar and/or passport) were enough as a proof to not do any verification. As for the distance piece, one does get an edge owing to points given for proximity to the school. But one can cover up for  not having that edge through other sections. The subjective Q&A piece in the form is very important. TSRS, for example, does not charge for the admission form, does not ask the parent their designations or their salary and only has one descriptive question to be answered. So, for kids with the same points, its only the quality of the answer given to that one question (and the thought-process reflected by the parent thereby) that acts as a tie-breaker for kids with same points. Just for your info, our child got admission in 2 sought after schools despite losing out on the distance points, the schools being more than 10 kms away from our residence. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much Payal.
