Hemant, As per parents feedback Sec46>43
Hi Sakshi and Parents, Can anyone tell me about the overheads in GD goenka school apart from transport and admission and quaterly fees.
By overhead i mean , compulsory expensiv trips...compulsory accessories ..and extensive extra purchase of goods suggested by school every now and then...
Any insight on this?
Thank you Anil, but the problem its a new school and I dont know much about its focus on academics.
Hey Sakshi and parents
Can you pls help me connect to the parents of kids already studying in GD Goenka sec-48.
Sonal, I think its better to contact school and trips are not mandatory in most of the schools.

How about Kunskapskolan and Gurgaon Valley. Any feedback for these schools?
Hi parul,
I will rate the schools as follows: DPS-45>>MRIS>LVIS>Ryan.
Hi,
As per general discussion we all parents are having & even i have observed that Ryan is the lowest standard school. MRIS surely a good one in terms of studies & other activities LVIS comes in between as even suggested by KK.
I have seen most of the parents on this forum agree to it that DPS is good for academics only but i think even other curricular activities they are quiet good & equivalent to other medium level schools.
It would be really appreciable if others may also comment on this remark of DPS.
Hi Harihar, I think in India we have types of students..one who gain knowledge and those who gain knowledge and earn there bread and butter based on the education level.
For later, you need the school which is high on academics so that kid do not get distracted and concentrate on studies for later competition. As everyone knows , how difficult and competitive higher education is... So, for that ppl prefere schools like DPS, DAV, Salwan.. Who do not loose focus from academics. Sport activities are also there.
For some, over all development of kid is required, so that he can decide if he want to be a singer , dancer, lawyer etc..so for them a holistic approach school is gud..so that child get the hang of everything and can select his/her carrier accordingly.
These are my comments , some might differ on this.
I visited Amity that time some fair was there. And kids were shocasing there model. As a S/w Engg , i curiously asked kids how they made the model. they said, we got the assembled kit and we made and programed it. Hearing Programed, i got excited and asked how. its like pressing buttons and selecting some action to perfomr in some specifc way :O i was shocked. I am not sure how that model making has value added to the kid however, that must have value added to the School treasury.
I rejected it then and there. The school must be having more to give, but this is my experience.
I also Visited Lotus Valley School. I heard that they do all sorts of activities but hardly concentrate on any. like they start skating , and before child could learn skating the sport changed to swiming.. Lady calling herself councellor which Principal said we do not have any councellor was a bit rude. and i feel funny when they give fundas to people who are running businesses and companies and know more business fundas..For kids we have to listen to them.. Its not in My list. people who do not have expense concern can go there.
Hello Sonal, Interesting thoughts about Lotus Valley. I felt the same as well. However, i ignored it considering that all schools have some drawback or the other. Which schools have you shortlisted?
