good observation Gaurav!
does any one know how many total seats are there in LVIS . i checked website useful info section and found that there are 90 pre nursery seats and 281 nursery?
is this correct info or not?
even i am bit confused over selection criteria since i also fall in less than 1.5 kms. may its prepared after profiling of parents, like if both working, siblings are there or not etc..and the question which they had asked is of no use
Hi Anurag,
even we noticed that they have around 100 kids in pre nursery and about 280 in nursery. so 100 pre nursery kids will move to Nursery and 180 seats should still be there if they maintain the last year number. I think all this process/shortlisting was just to create hype but i guess it worked against them.
Anurag, can you please share what kind of questions were you asked?
hi rashi,
the question were mentioned in the form of LVIS which we had downloaded from website. it was more on how you would contribute to child's development. May u can download it from website for you reference.
i am not sure if there is any interaction with child now. since its the " neighbourhood" criteria now
Hi Anurag,
Yes you are correct, it has around 9-10 sections in nursery classes. I have seen on the website they have released a list of only 43 prospective students. I think, school would gradually release name of at least 250 more children. So, you still have very high chances of getting positive response from school.
I am a LVIS parent. This forum helped me a lot during my son's admission 2 years back.
Thanks,
Ajay
well this current situation is certainly not helping them. There were only positive comments about LVIS before this and now it is a diffrent situation!!
what reputation they have u tell me if they have no basic transparency in admission.
I think DPS is better then this at least they are saying on the first go that they are following the lottery system.
Rightly said Jyoti. I remember, till last year they were ready to give discount in schoolex camp. And now since they are being ranked among good schools, they have started showing tantrums. I hope LVIS is also following this forum.
The greatness of school is not in how complex and non-transparent is their admission process but in providing great education.
Whatever criteria they have, why dont they disclose it beforehand so that parents can take informed decisions. Schools are these days nothing but money making machine
I agree, till there are uniform rules governing all Gurgaon schools, a school is free to choose the criteria that they will follow..there will always be parents who agree with that and those who dont...its just that stating the criteria upfront and following through helps avoid all this..
i second you shishir,tejasvi,anisha, ajay....
