Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

@Abhinav - Initially when they were new, they have taken all admissions irrespective of distance but now as they have good name, so they have chosen the distance criteria as way of shortlisting the filled forms (More than 500)

Problem is not in Good name,problem is being not transparent.

Whatever is their selection criteria, let it come out in open at the sale of forms.... it should not be a way of minting money by any school...

@ KK - Yes I absolutely agree with your point. LVIS was not et all transparent regarding Forms shortlisting criteria at the time of selling forms. Initially it was FCFS, then FCFS removed, then neighbourhood criteria (After selling Forms)

Nothing personal for sure. There is no doubt that LVIS committed a mistake in their admission process. Whether it was deliberate or accidental, we dont know.

All I am saying is that at least they are not harassing a small 2~3 year old kid by taking him or her away from parents in a separate room for interview or observation. By interviewing kids, these schools are flouting major norm of RTE of not giving equal opportunity to special needs or differently ability kids who can study in mainstream set-up with little help.

in my form I had given current address as Vasant Kunj Delhi, and permanent address as Sec 51 Ggn.

So I dont think neighbourhood is the criterion for selection, it could be parents profiling, Annual Income etc.

Also practically they would prefer Parents opting for Cuddle Care as well ....

Also criterio for Nursery and Pre-nursery may vary.

For Pre-nursery proximity of the school to neighbourhood does make sense. kids are not even 3!

Just Chill ! the school mgmt knows best what they want no pint speculating on the same.

I called LVIS today & after trying for atleast 10 times on their contact numbers listed on website I finally had chance to talk. I asked them till when they are conducting interactions ? Lady on other side responded politely and informed they will do it this week till 16th.

@seema, Thanks, so if they are calling 10 parents everyday, they would be calling at least 60~70 parents during this week for interactions.

Hope for lot of parents waiting for admission in LVIS.

Completely agree. This way even some of other schools also getting so much of funds that when you see the total amount you will be surprised.

This is all happening just because there is very little or no control at all from governing bodies from CBSE etc because of which these kind of schools are taking undue advantage from parents like us.

Sakshi : Time & again we listen to these kind of issues & than various other issues discussed by all parents. What do you say, is there any body which may get things better in near future since all these kind of issues come up every year as we listen during prenursery & nursery admissions.
