No, Sumit i dont think so, as our kid was selected, although we live in a rented accomodation.
The selection criteria may be - they give first preference to sibling case, second may be to first child/ single child.
Distance should not to that strict a criteria for evaluation as i talked to someone who was there to deposit fee from vasundhra enclave.

Damandeep -i have single child/residing within 3km ,my schooling from reputed probably oldest  missionary school in kolkata,i was in media almost 9 yrs, left my job because of my son, husband is in good position ,but still not rcvd courier from sommerville :(

Moon, yes Sumit is right, we actually dont know what really the criteria is, bcz nothing is transparent, we can just guess or assume. The nursery admissions in NCR is really a tough process. Little kids are evaluated before giving admission, instead of parents selecting the right school for their kids, it is the Schools that are selecting kids. A childs performance at the time of interview is the only thing they judge. If the kid is not comfortable, how can he be at his best?? They should leave the kids in a room with toys etc and let them play and then they should be judged by their activities etc.

Damandeep-they did not shortlisted our form even and did not call us for interaction,they did not evaluate my son ,any way yehi chalta rahega , and we have to accept it,my son got selected in 3 out of 3 where he got a chance to face an interview,all of our little kids are competing at  the age of 3 when they dont know the meaning and importance of competition even ,all the best . wishing to all the little kids for better future

Moon,thats good, nodoubt u have a intelligent and confident kid who cleared all the 3 interviews he gave :)
So which school u finalised??
