Thanks a lot Arohi  ... Your inputs helped alot to take decision :)

Thanks sakshi,

1stly money difference is as such not high its around 3000-3500 difference
2ndly distance is also same.

Only important point is 1year loss as of now we can go for any school but i think age will come when he will grow up.

So we will fix on DPS only

All school are almost same only difference is surrounding.

Thanks for all help by u and all team and members this site really very help full previously i was not even aware about school name and diff boards.

Dear All ,

Please let me know if anyone has withdraw admission from Amity V-6 . I wanted to know the process and refundable amount .

Regards,

Sandeep

Hey Sandeep,

We are planning to go to school tomorrow to discuss the same...we too in the same situation :)

Thanks.

@Arohi & Sandeep: Please update fellow parents of the outcome for everyone's benefit.

Sure Shakil...shall do that :)

I am too planning to go to school tomorrow. Let see how it goes :)

By the way I have heard 3 versions of this refund thing..

1. They will return only that cation money Rs 8000 and that too will take time.

2. They will return 80-85% but will take 1 year.

3. They decide on how much to return on case to case basis.

So not sure what is their strategy this year. May be will get to know tomorrow only after visiting them.

What are your thoughts...have you got any info regarding this?

@Arohi: From what I gathered at the time of admission from the school authorities was your 3rd point..they decide on how much to return on case to case basis. Not sure if it's fully true.

And I am not sure which case will get us max. refund :)

@ Shakil..Well, I feel this is a very illogical strategy as normally people withdraw once they get admission in some other school of their choice....so what do they expect....not sure if this is a good enough case for them or not :)

By the way, which school have you chosen for your kid?

Thanks

Yes, it is very illogical..ideally, there should be u a standard refund policy..but in amity's case what i have heard is that they take it on the merit of the request..may be they would be more considerate in cases of transfer where a person has to withdraw because of relocation to another city/country..

Also, what I have heard is that they take a long long time to refund whatever amount they have to after negotiation..

As of now, I have taken admission for my son in Amity V6 n I have DPSI interaction in November
