Hi all, My son would be 3 years 1 month old on 31st March 2013 and fits well into the criteria of getting admission as per DOE, Delhi.
Many of my friends feel that it is better if we put child into nursery at the age of 4 years. They believe in keeping child for one extra year in play school as it creates less pressures on the child and his learning and understanding abilities would be more at the age of 4 yrs. Besides being elder to most of the children in his class, he will always be at advantage. Does it works for all kids?
I was 1 year younger than all the students of my class throughout but i never faced any problems wrt learning etc. Infact throughout i have been amongst toppers.
Plz provide your feedback.

@Vibha in addition to the link provided by Lathaaji . Many schools in delhi have upper cut off for getting admission for delhi schools as Min 3 yrs and Max 4 yrs on 31 mar
So next year your son would be eligible for KG in many schools and not nursery and ,few schools do KG admissions with limited seats and Getting admission is generally very tough over all in Delhi and NCR.(on the contrary 2-3 school give extra points to 4plus kids for nursery and do not have any upper cut off)
As DOE has prescribed Min age limit as 3yrs of the academic year but no upper cut off limit has been fixed by DOE (so upper cut off is school specific)
Same things happens to me also ...my daughter is 11feb born ..and she will be 3.1 in mrach...i also have same mix feeling.....but i admitted my daughter in Kothari ..as i feel this school care child and load less pressure in nursury......And same story applies to me, i also admitted in littile age and i were also topper of my college. I think age 3 is perfect for learning new things and we should go for that.....
Thanks shiva for your inputs
Thx Shiva for your feedback.
