Government should take admission process in there hand, and ensure the admission of kids in the nearest area where the kids are living.
And before doing that they ensure the quality of education, infrastructure are equal in all the schools.
Can this common people government had this courage to do that?

What is right distance measurement? Google maps? Only driving directions or walking as well? From home to school or school to home? Or room to play around with the notification?

A) What is the govt going to do to ensure that the lottery is fair and transparent meaning

 (1) As there will be a lot of parents tied on points this time, how would they check whether all of          them (and not a select few basis income / other preset criteria) are considered in the final              lottery (In past years, parents have complained that despite tying for points, they did not                figure in the lottery shortlist)

(2) Most schools have been evasive on announcing the lottery list. It should be a mandate to announce the list and those shortlisted should be announced on their sites well in advance so that people can attend

(3) If people cant attend a lottery, the names announced should be put up online and not transferred as it is not possible for everyone to be everywhere at the same time

B) If a person gets selected in two schools, once they take admission in one of them, what will happen to the unused seat. Govt should ensure that the unused seat should be declared as a vacant seat from the school and not be kept as a potential management quota seat

C) It's no secret that schools often in a very brash way force people for donations. While the mgmt quota has been abolished, a recent report shows 7000 app to 170 seats for some schools. What additional checks is the govt going to take to ensure that schools don't pressurize parents with this unique demand supply situation. Incase a school asks for donations, where does one turn to for help and what is the guarantee of action that will be taken from the govt

D) The 70 point criteria should ideally be broken down i.e. 70 pts for 1-2 km, 50 for 3-5 and so on. While it is good that people can apply to schools within an 8 km radar, since distance is the major criteria, since we are talking about very small children here, the proximity to their houses should be given due weightage

if asked for donation, setting kar lena, rest you know

@mr shantanu

who told you that if the parents of 'x' student is not there in draw <lottery day > at school and if the name of 'x' appear in the lottery ,then his name will not be qualified.in the present scenario, when the parents have appplied for more than 15-20 school, its imposible to attend each and every draw.

please pass my massage to all.

thanks

it was like this in many schools for last many years, if you not at lottery you miss the seat

1. Why do we categorize schools based on minorities ? I agree that we can still categorize based on girl child or EWS.

When a child from minorities can study in a non-minority school, why can't child from a general category gets same chance in minority schools. Various schools like Mount Carmel have specifically mentioned 25% for general.

Should the general schools also give weightage to general class than minority class ? Why is there a division ?

Should I regret why I was not born in a minority category ?

2. What makes the following children different as a child :

    a) Child P whose siblings/parents have studied in the same school.

    b) Child Q whose siblings/parents have not studied in the same school

    c) Child R whose parents have not been transferred from outside

    d) Child S whose parents have been transferred from outside

I understand that distance will matter while the child has to travel all the way which will also increase the risk and time it takes. But why is there discrimination on other mentioned factors.

As per the guidelines, the pre-school/pre-primary sections of the school even if existing in separate buildings should be considered as one entity. Some schools like VIS Dwarka are flouting this rule. If the child does nursery from VIS kids, he/she needs to re-apply for KG in VIS!

CLARIFY THE RESIDENT PROOF CRITERIA FOR PARENTS RESIDING ON RENT. MANY SCHOOL DO NOT ACCEPT IT MANY ASK FOR AT LEAST SIX MONTH OLD RENT AGREEMENT. AGREMENTS FINISH IN 11 MONTHS,IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR MANY TO HAVE THE SIX MONTH OLD RENT AGREEMENT....

PLEASE CLARIFY THE DISTANCE CRITERIA AS WELL.

IS IT THE AERIAL RADIUS OR SOMETHING ELSE ???

REGARDING INTERSTATE TRANSFER POINTS

SOME SCHOOLS PUT IT AS TRANSFERRABLE JOB WHILE OTHERS AS INTERSTATE TRANSFER IN THE LAST YEAR

WHAT IS RIGHT ??????????

Sakshi ji,

I want to know how schools are going to fill in seats in respect of 5% of girl quota.  Whether  they will apply the point system of distance, sibling, alumni and state transfer in girl quota  or they will carry out lottery of the girl child applicant living within the 8 kms from the school and fill the 5% seat and then left over girl applicant will be considered in general category seats.
