Points against Alumni and Sibling criteria should be removed in Nursery admission.
There is no system for Alumni and Sibling points for admission in the colleges. Students are getting admission based upon their luck and capability. Therefore, in Nursery admission, Alumni and Sibling points should be discarded. What is the background for giving advantages for such parents?????
If based on a kid's capability then schools should start interviewing the kids, do you agree? I am not. Alumini points should not be there but yes sibling points should be may be some sort of quota(5% or 10%) for sibling.
test and interviews are against the norms of RTE Act, hence no question with capabilities. Secondly, majority of parents on this forum are against Alumni points, which can serve as survey data.
There should be survey whether Alumini points should be there are not, similar to what was done to transfer points.
Abhishek Nair ji, this will inspire "ME" in the mind of everyone. I mean proudism which is the main cause of downfall. Why because alumni will start calling my school, my teachers, my classmates, my times,... everywhere my.my.my.. mine.. Let us stop partysm like congress does. Let others also enjoy the same taste which you had years back. Share you learning process with other schools so that they can upgrade to your schools standards.
I don't know u agree or disagree with my approach. Sharing knowledge is appreciated by everyone. We go to good schools for good things, so as to share the same with those not having the same with them.
Mr Sumit Vohra pls make govt understand to abolish all kinds of reservations like sibling, alumini and give chance to new comers also for getting equal chance. In well estd schools, these alumini and sibling covers major share or limit it to 5% like girls quota. Otherwise after EWS, Disabled children .... max quota will be covered by alumini and sibling only. Max 75 points applications from estd schools from alumini only.
NOW GOVERNMENT MUST COME OUT WITH ONE TYPE OF POINT SYSTEMS. IN MY OPINION, THERE SHOULD BE ONLY POINTS FOR DISTANCE - AS EVERY PARENTS WANT THAT HIS/HER CHILD WILL GOES TO SCHOOL NEARER TO HIS/HER PLACE. POINTS FOR SIBLINGS- IN CASE OF SECOND CHILD, IT WILL BE DIFFICULT FOR PARENTS TO MANAGE EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES OF TWO DIFFERENT SCHOOLS. POINTS FOR FIRST CHILD. ALSO POINTS FOR GIRL CHILD.
Even for alumini & sibling only school checks it and non transparent in nature. Like Transfer points there may be a chance of heavy misuse. In fact there should be a centralized single application and give priorities of schools. But this system may take long and for the time being at least remove all type of reservations and give fair chance to all. Even I applied many schools becoz of insecurity feeling. There is so much redundancy wrt no of applications to various schools.
I am in delhi from that last 15 years.Like any other so called delhities we also pay tax to the govt.So now why my child will not get a seat in a good school only because I am not an alumni of any school in delhi. This is again not at all justified.I am sure many people who are against the transfer points only because they are getting in the way of their alumni points. Now after scrapping of transfer points they will get the seat directly without going through the draw..and 70 pointers will again stands nowhere.
i agree.. alumini points should also be scrapped
