as shortlisted for Management seat.
I along with husband and daughter went yesterday - 9/2/22 for brief meeting with Principal, who asked about our job/ qualification, and name of daughter. Our daughter didn't say anything though she was asked 3-4 questions....
The ma'am outside told us they would get back. But we haven't received any communication.
Calling on school phone is unanswered.
I had read on this forum that people usually get call same day if selected under management seat in this school...
Just wanted to know if we should hope for the best or loose hope of getting admission in the school...
Any help as to future course of action would be helpful.
We have Summerfield and Frank Anthony Schools in hand...

r the school.
I feel its too much travel time for 3 year old.
My sister in law is a Manager in Muthoot Group, and she is helping me in St George, but nothing till now....
In second list my daughter's name also not there in any schools.
I'm trying in other nearby schools by giving letters and calling them, but till now nothing.
So to try and focus my energies on only 2-3 schools for management seats, please advice :-
1.Which of Amrita Vidyalayam / Gyanbharti School / St George School is better in ranking academically.
2.Has anybody got any experience in directly approaching these schools for management seats ?
3.Has either of these schools called parents for interview ?
Please help me.

housand (if i recall correctly). Later, after second list, I withdrew from Amity and moved to Bluebells (BBS monthly fee was around 6k in 2016, now its around 10k without transport)
No idea about management seats - never done that, and no such contacts either.
However, rather than approaching for management seat, I'd suggest you express interest in some of the schools (as also advised by a fellow parent Bindesh) and start following up with their reception desks (personal visit better than emails). I am saying this purely basis hearsay and feedback from some parents (and with no offence to any of these schools) - specific to south delhi, some schools like Indian, Cambridge NFC, GD Goenka Sarita Vihar, Indian (noon shift), Paul George Alaknanda (maybe slightly expensive), KPS Alaknanda and KR Mangalam (and perhaps even Apeejay PP and Summerfields as well) may give you a consideration, if you keep checking them with for vacant seats, and express keen interest in admissions.…

ation but you can try emailing them.
since you mentioned Udgam I presume you put up somewhere near kalkaji, cr park, gk
options that are open are
summerfields
Gyan bharti
amrita vidyalayam
Foundation(evening shift)
ambience sda
kr mangalam gk2(v. selective)
ramjas rkp sec4
dr radhakrishnan def col(mediocre)
South dps def col.(mediocre)
Another costly option is playschools of big schools. like
Blossoms - bluebells(2 lacs aprox +9k monthly)
apeejay rhythm - apeejay schools(1.5 lacs + 15 k monthly)
greenfields nursery Sda-green fields(40k -50k upfront+monthly fee)
lapetite pamposh-gd goenka(out of option in neighbourhood critera if i presume right)
you will have to pay admission fee again for 1st class admission in big schools of these play schools & also bear high fee per month for 24 months(nursery & kg)but it is impled that u will get a seat in big school for sure. Truely this method is donation in EMIs
You can also opt for NCR schools like MANAV RACHNA FARIDABAD(94000 upfront) & apeejay noida…
that the 1st list is on basis of points scored (alumini, sibling, distance & linguistic inclusion).
Birla Vidya Niketan - "Out of the total applicants from the neighborhood range of 0-8 kms, computerized lottery draws will be held for selectingsuccessful candidates for sibling seats(34), Alumni seats(12), girl child category seats (11) and Neighbourhood category seats (57). "
I have no idea of the draw results. Since it is computerized, assuming that parents will not be involved. Results will directly be displayed on 15th.
KR Mangalam GK2 - No updates anywhere. :(
Summerfield - "50 children securing more than 75 points are declared successful for admission. "
There was a draw of lots yesterday for 75 pointers. No updates of the results either on website or elsewhere again.…
moderators point of view.
I would like to know how the moderators suggest helping those parents who applied in schools and did not get through AND the school flouted norms. I had shared a specific post earlier as well but no response. There are more specific examples and people on the group can share even more.
- Apeejay Sheikh Sarai - Wrong criteria similar to Pitampura and MOST IMPORTANTLY - The school has declared 18 candidates which is NOT as per their declared criteria.
- Amity Saket - Never came out with a list of candidates with points. Never declared a date / time of draw of lots for neighborhood criteria. Just came out with a list
- KR Mangalam and Summerfields - Never came out with the list of candidates with points on their website. Draw of lots announced at last minute. No sufficient notice.
- GD Goenka SV - Distance criteria had 0-1 / 1-3 / 3-6 / >6 criteria for same 60 points On the day of draw, they came out with a draw for all candidates in 0-10 kms flouting the criteria they declared. The criteria is still on their website.
These are just 5 of the 19 schools I had applied for. Am sure there are more such cases elsewhere. I am not sure whether everyone has really seen this order from Education department. These schools have violated a number of guidelines set out by the Education department.
I really believe that the group upholds the spirit of a fair admission process and will try to help people who are trying to get our kids admissions in the best possible school.

’t be cancelled.
The schools were reportedly flouting the nursery admission norms set by the Delhi government under the Right to Education ( RTE) Act. Most of these schools had asked the parents to disclose their income tax returns or income, and the others had set a date of birth criteria for admissions.
State education minister Arvinder Singh Lovely, who chaired a meeting of top education department officials, confirmed the development.
He said: “ The schools were issued notice to explain and correct their stand after the education department received complaints.” The minister named Summerfields School, Ahlcon Public school, St Mary’s North Delhi, St Mark’s Janakpuri, St Francis De Sales School in West Delhi and DPS Rohini as the violators.
“ We are making it clear that the alleged discriminatory practices of these schools in nursery admissions will not be tolerated and procedural action will be initiated. If the schools don’t follow our directions, their admission process will be cancelled,” Lovely added.
Delhi has 1,165 government schools, 1,500 senior secondary public schools and 2,000 MCD schools, and many parents have complained that some schools are giving preference to the profession of the parents.
“ We are clear that anything that goes against the RTE or asks parents about their education or income is not acceptable. The parents should feel free to complain to local deputy directors of education,” Lovely said.
The education department has also taken an important decision regarding the admissions of the economically weaker section ( EWS) in schools. The admission draw for 25 per cent of EWS seas will be overseen by a single officer of the education department in each school.…
