We are not talking about what is the basis of today's decision, we are saying if Court do not understand the point system set right by Delhi Government then we have to be there collectively to say the point that why Sibling & Alumni points were given and why that shall always be there in education system.
@ Everyone, if we have to go to court for as small a thing as nursery admission (it's not even proper primary school), then why do we need an elected government?
Alumni/Sibling has been asked to withdraw by HC..... More updates to come
what about parents of single child?? where will they go?? lets not advocate on these questions / points, lets accept whatever result comes out - be its in favor or against!
any update on the same...
@Manoj, todays decision will be based on data not on Historical stories..
@Richa Nidhi
I respect you and agreed with you fully. But as per my understanding filling PIL is not just gaye or ho gayi.
So, dear parents, we are all the sufferers due to any X parents who has filled the PIL against Alumni & Sibling without knowing the facts of the after effects of this on parents with two children.
And if court doesn't understand why this points system was made and why extra points were given to Alumni and sibling then definitely we have to come together and let the court and knows the real fact
Just wait of today decision, if anything goes wrong we will prove the point

New Delhi, March 28 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Friday further extended stay on the nursery admission process and fresh draw of lots in the capital's schools till April 2.
A bench of Acting Chief Justice B.D. Ahmed and Justice Sidharth Mridul also declined to entertain a petition filed by a set of parents seeking to scrap the alumni and sibling categories.
The bench allowed petitioners to withdraw the plea and approach the single judge which was hearing the main case filed challenging the lt governor's notification.
After the court refused to entertain the plea seeking scrapping both the categories, the five and 20 points under alumni and sibling sections will be retained this academic year.
The court's order came after the education department submitted data which showed that a majority of the children admitted in the first draw of lots belonged to 70 pointers who came under the neighbourhood criteria.
Senior advocate Nidhesh Gupta, who is representing another group of parents, said that the alumni and sibling points were a valid classification which has been recognized the world over.
The court is adjudicating the contentious issue of whether a fresh draw of lottery was necessary after the scrapping of the inter-state transfer points on Feb 27.
At present, 95-point system is followed for admissions -- 70 points are allocated to neighbourhood criteria, 20 to sibling and five under alumni category.
