Then why people are saying there are issues with top 10-15 schools only and from where they are getting the data it is for top 10-15 schools which are having issues??

Agree with Maharam Ji's perspective.

@ Sunny - This data is incidental. No one could have predicted how applications would come, no. of schools that every parent would apply to and potential results of draws. So this data could not have been generated in December. The problem is that we are trying to formulate a problem by looking at the outcome!

There is no way to "categorize" schools. And I am sure all the lawyers know this. And teh DOE is concerned with seats for parents in any of the 300 odd schools in Delhi and not a select few.

I hope the lawyers of the parents who have filed the PILs should do the categorization on the basis of top schools (10-15), top 50, top 100, top 200 etc.. otherwise they are going to loose the case because the data provided by the DOE will be seen as a whole and with this data not much percentage of seats is occupied by siblings/alumni as compared to 70 pointers and without categorization these PILs will not have a chance.

If the PIL's lawyer says they need more time to present their data(categorization of DOE data) then I do not think the verdict is going to come on 28th March 2014.

Maharam ji,

here's the 2nd side of the coin -

Data collection - this excersice should have been done before making the guidelines, infact data collected from previous years should have been the basis of guidelines in December, if data would have shown larger number of applicants in siblinng, alumni (or any other criteria for that matter) than the number of seats in a school, DOE would have forseen the problem for 70 pointers and would have capped the various categories in december itself and avoided this chaos later, but they are doing this excercise now (better late than never , hopefully this data will give usefull insight for the next year guidelines now). and court has tought DOE what should have been done before, hopefully it will teach How it should be done.Every where Data from the feild forms the basis of every policy in govt and Pvt. sector then why is it a showman's game? i beleive its a very usefull excercise if done honestly by DOE, based on this data only the claims of one group of parents or another can be verified.

Donations - there would always be a gruop of parents who want to through money and get admission ( they have their own reasons -for example i know someone who is almost an illiterate, has lots of easy money, do not care about few lakhs, doesnt have time and knowhow to fill forms and processes forget an.com, they don't know about internet, what choices they have - pay donations and have a seat in best schools or go for govt. school, any guess what they will choose?) but majority parents were paying donations because they had no choices earlier, there was no transparency they were straight away asked by schools to pay donations but now these guidelines from past few years have given some hope, at least few parents can expect donationless admissions (wouldn't shy away from appreciating DOE/Delhi Govt./LG on this) this is the reason why parents were complaining on this site about some schools asking donations and not straight away going and booking seats there, the more this transparency increases more of this donation thing will reduce, and according to me alumni/sibling are the least transparent admissions right now (most schools i applied aren't even disclosing the bifurcation between alumni and siblings even after asking for it, i wonder what they wanted to cover up? this DATA collection will again throgh some light on it).

It is good to see a centralized datasheet. Whatever correctness the data may represent, it will give everyone little time to analyze and get factual information. They can also counter check via school if possible.

Hope DOE wraps this data in some fine excel sheets with dynamic charts. Otherwise the judges with heavy workload will have tough time understanding all the calculations.

@  Preeti Gupta - Thanks, I believe you meant 3rd April. But not sure how these schools can start the session without HC's final decision

1593 (excluding the wrong data sheets) for N + IST @ 75 points

I believe an RTI with the Delhi HC or DoE, later once the verdict is out, should reveal all this data.

I do not see any reason why this data should be concealed.

Will be very useful for the next 2015-16 admission seekers to plan.

the data on IST has not been totaled up but it is there in the column.
