Hi Sakshi, my son got his name in VBPS and we are going with it. iF he may get Sommerviille of FAS then we may sacrifice fees else we plan to go ahead with this. We have elser son already in VBPS but we are baffled with the selection method of schools - DPS and Amity. Really dont know what they consider and how they call people....we can still see waitlisted in DPS and in Amity they say if this is not rejected then may be you are called some time late which is more or less wait listed. Thank God we have schools like VBPS who take real middle class.....We do get few middle men who ask for some  premium and gurantee to get admission in DPS and Amity but till now we choose to ignore. Friends please do not see it as that whoever got admission was by unfair means, i dont mean disrespect to all these parents who had worked equally hard as me....but there are few who must be encouraging these touts and this can happen because these (schools) are sought after school so they or their ppl can command this.... Thanks a lot to Shakshi and all dear friends here and really all were great help here....I really believe finally all kids are same and those who are destined to shine will shine....:)

Agreed with u.Mr Lokesh.....lot of  hype created with these schools specially DPS....even we went to vishwabharti today..and are in a dilemma what to do..to wait or not to..Doing profiling of even grandparents of the child in school like amity is a surprise too...how does it anyway mean that a child would perform or not..Just wanted to know your feedback about Vishwabharti School..as u said ur elder son is going there so that we can also decide in time..

Agree with you Priya, how does profiling of Grandparents help!!

Guess, this simply gives the school any possible frivolous reason to reject the forms in future!!

After this hype, when kids start going to school, parents have very high expectations which some times the schools are not able to meet  (as I read comments from few parents in this forum whose kids got admission in DPS for current session)

The minimum requirement for any school is to provide safety and security to our kids inside the school and inside the bus also. Do all the schools do such screening of their admin staff, helper staff, etc?? It is much more needed than the screening of kids and their parents. Horrible news from Gurgaon about one of the school in its school bus.

i am also waiting for shiv nadar and lotus valley forms , i called school , they said aug end or sept starting .
