Agree Shruti that every school pros and cons. But just others decision is not what should drive our decision. Distance from school, CBSE/ICSE/IB/Cambridge board, Infrastructure facilities, Academic record etc. lot of things influence decision. For me it is very critical that the basic nurturing of the child should be good and if required, one can go for school change later on post primary years (5th class). For new age schools, they provide lot of infrastructure facilities etc. but the fees is very high..

My advice to all parents would be that don't just try to get your child admitted to a higher ranking school. Decide your priorities and criteria like I mentioned above and then decide the best school for your child.. If you want academics oriented school or sports oriented or a school in a nearby locality etc. That's the way to go about it.

I completely Agree with you Akshay. I thi

Completely agree Akshay with all your points..

But one thing, isnt AIS N. fees also on higher side..just wnt to understand this prespective too..Ex: - 29k annual charges, which probably going to hike every year.

Very few schools hv fee structure on the lower side as compared to AIS. I am comparing AIS with schools popular in forum.

If we compare the fees of traditional schools like VBPS, BBPS etc. then yes AIS Noida fees is on the higher side. But if we compare with New age International schools like Kothari, Lotus Valley, Step by Step etc. then the AIS fees is lower.

For ex: Quarterly fees of Lotus Valley is almost Rs. 45,000 per quarter while for AIS it is around Rs. 22,000 per quarter. I believe AIS fees is lower than DPS Noida as well.

Dear Akshay,

Please suggest Somerville international or FAS?? which is good

There would be a big difference in fees

Go fr Somerville...amity is just a brand name
See m just super confused

Somerville is strict in implementing rules and  discipline while Amity does it gently.

Nivedita

Every school has its pros n cons but if i see feedback of parents then sommerville parents looks more satisfied in last 2-3 yrs, Amity is bigger brand no doubt

Facilities and infrastructure is another thing which I consider. For ex: Somerville does not have a swimming pool, skating rink etc. I might be wrong or biased in my comparison but that's my opinion.

Yes Akshay

Your opinion is also imp for balanced perspective for other parents
