Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
I would like your comments on this issues. In Europe and America, kids are not allowed to go for study before 3.5 years but in India all it starts at 2 years. It is wise to send such a tender child to school when child could not develop sufficient immune system. I abstained from sending my child from play school for various reasons including cost also which is not necessary. I have come to know that at the time of admission in nursery, schools counts on play school points. Do all the schools play school points criteria. My baby is exceptionally talented and she is grooming well at home in the company of her mother who is house wife.
Kindly suggest me whether I have taken a good decision for not sending my baby to play school.

Your decision is superb .
See we don't recommend play school for more than 6 months .
Its just a money extracting business these days they start from 1yr onwards known as toddler program (along with mother) recently for 4 days continuous Mr Vohra gave his views in HINDUSTAN TIMES along with Mr lovely (edu min)/ Dr Shyama chona (Ex principal Dps rkpuram) Springdales Principal.
Few Positives
1 SEPERATION ANXIETY
Kids get use to stay away from parents for 3-4 hrs ,soeasy for the big school
2 Peer Group
Kids makes friends and channelise unlimited energy in playing and extra curicular activities
3 Toilet Trained - ( Not Mandatory can be done at home)
If the child is smart , no importance is given to any play school .
I am also not in favour of sending child for Play School, So never sent her to any play school,My Daughter is now 3 years so would applying for Nursery admission this year, Let see what School Says to me.
I am also not in favour of sending child for Play School,if you have facility at home, So never sent her to any play school.
Ms. Pushpa Bansal
There are no points for Play School and your child is fortunate. At the age of 2, people are compelled to send their children to school only if they are working or are unable to withstand the peer presssure.
very well said ravi ,pushpa & naresh.
Bingo and very well said Ms. Lall....totally agree....
I totally agree with all the views put up by Nidhi. The world is changing quicker than we think and our children have to keep pace with it. My own son was not able to get admission in any of the schools in Delhi, all thanks to the RTE act. But just because he had attended a good play school, he was able to confidently appear for an informal interaction at Shriram Millennium and was selected. Else, he wouldn't have had a school to go to and would have had to continue in playschool. And, all this notion that playschools put burden of studies on children is absolutely incorrect!!
I do agree with Nidhi. We can not give playshcool enviornment to our home. We should send our kid to playshcool to learn new things and face the real world challenges.
Totally agree with the view of nidhi lall..........its highly important 2 prepare our kids for this competitive world...............play school is jst a starting of this.
I go with you for the "single children and nuclear families" aspect...Children tend to learn sharing which is difficult to teach at home without any other kid around..as far as my experience says..
Completely agree with Nidhi. Good play schools put in lot of effort in making our li'l ones feel at home. It is far more difficult to handle small kids who do not have the habit of staying away from parents, at the same time understanding their needs which they can't speak & express properly, rather than handling grown up kids ready for formal schools. As far as concept of extracting money is concerned, formal schools charge much more monthly fees as well as the one time adm. fee which goes almost upto a lac. of Rs.
Do you have any Pre-School in Delhi/NCR which you can compare with EtonHouse. Here they teach A for apple and slanting lines which could lead to deformity at such a tendder age.
