Information required for Nursery/Pre-nursery admissions in Gurgaon

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and have gone through few threads. I want to put down my case & queries below related to the same.

My first born son is March 2010 born, so as per Gurgaon school norms, either he will go to nursery at age 3 or 4.. My concern is :

(1) Isn't 3 yrs too early and 4 yrs too late to go to a nursery school.. I dont have any middle option :( What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?

(2) Those schools which offer nursery for 3+ yrs, do they have a relatively easier curriculum?

(3) And will my child be considered for nursery in those schools which offer nursery at 3+, considering I plan to send him to nursery in age i.e. Aprl 2014 session

(4) What are the best 5 schools in Gurgaon - I want the list clear in terms of:

a) Those who offer nursery at the age of 3+

b) Those who offer nursery at the age of 3 and half years +

c) Immaterial of the age limit - top 5 schools in Gurgaon

(5) If I choose to put my child in nursery at age 4, then I will have to put him in pre-nursery in 2013 session. Most of the top schools have pre-nursery option also available. My question here is that -- Do THESE SCHOOLS give preference to their wards who come through pre-nursery route or they have just open criteria again for nursery then?? Pls let me know if there is any deviation for some top schools here

I know I have put across so many questions on the table. But I am a very confused, panicking and nervous parent. Hope to hear from all you learned ones here//

Haryana Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011 has come into force since 3^rd June 2011 and as per the rules the Appropriate Age for admission in Class One shall be : five years to six years; So for nursery the appropriate age would be 3 to 4 years.

That means my son has a disadvantage being born in th month of March? In Mar13, he will be just few days above 3 [too young I guess to do homeworks] and in 2014, 4 yrs old.. Lot of confusion & dilemma:(:(

Anyways can someone help me out on the other ques put as well? or some link to ongoing discussions?
