You can not expect transparency from schools when there is such a huge demand. Everyone wants to admit their child in a reputed and good school. School is taking advantage of this. How you can justify Francis asking Rs 20000 as Building Fund?
I am really unsatisfied, We are given only 2 - 3 minutes for interaction. In these 2 - 3 minutes the teachers or REAL EXPERTS are able to decide that we are capable for the school or not.
moreover on not selection there is no way we can come to know the reason for not being selected. The whole process is completely hidden.
It is very much required that GOVT should fix the criteria and intervene so that some relief can be brought
My answer to question 9 was TRANSPARENCY :-) It seems i have offended FAS management. As far as distance is concerned, I live in sector 62 NOIDA, less than 3 km from school.
Anyways I am not frustrated but would like to share one of my previous interaction with FAS. I went to FAS 2 years back to take school ground on rent for the whole day, for one of my office event. Guy in admin requested 5k where by Indus Valley requested 2200 only. School ground of Indus Vally is better than FAS for sure. Personally I felt that FAS management is some how greedy as I can judge that ground was not better than Indus Valley not even 2 years ago and not even now.
.
Dheeraj ji & Sweety ji, pls don't loose heart..there is no fault of yours or of the child..it's just a random shortlisting process where someone gets in and someone not.
Pls look for other good options nearby as DPS Indirapuram, St. Thomas, St. Teressa also. Indus Valley is not a bad option too. DPS Expressway is also open for admissions. JSS Public School at sec-61 can be tried too.
All the best:)
Thanks Bij Ji. You mentioned Indus Valley. Its nearby to my place. Could you please share more feedback on the school ?
TIA
Dheeraj ji, Indus Valley is an above average school for academics but has excellent sports infrastructure and good cocurricular activities. Attentiuon span is good. One of my friend's 2 kids are studying there in class 3rd and 7th respectively, i have seen them grooming very well.
(Father agnel has good brand value due to its overall good parent branch at Gautam Nagar Delhi, but Noida branch is still evolving on parameters other than academics which is good).
Thanks Bij ji, for some time i will keep on blaming myself that i dint filed up the form properly, its human nature.
My problem is that after we will shift to Noida after few years so FAS was the best option. But lets c, will try for Indus Valley, awaiting result for DPSGV.
Father Agnel School registration result is out on internet. Use your login id to check status of application.
Thanks,
Vijayant
Sonia ji, i can appreciate your concern. Kothari is also a very good school but is slightly higher in fees. It's natural that any school will ask about the sibling's school at time of interaction. Your reason is valid about transfer from Delhi in mid/after of admission season.
VBPS is a good school to choose from due to its value for money approach.
DPS Indirapuram is one of the very good school at Noida-Ghaziabad area, so if you get admission of your daughter in any of these 2 you can very well apply for your son subject to vacancy available.
Pls be confident at the interaction process of DPSI. it is somewhat similar to as happens in DPS Noida (you can read detailed interaction process of DPS Noida in that group here in the forum).
If you live nearvy Indirapuram then as a choice you can apply to St. Thomas school too.
All the best!
