Hi Vivek,

I personally feel FAS is far better than DPSGV. DPSGV is not under the DPS society hence as you mentioned the experience point, its not valid for them. And dont go by rankings they are all manipulated.

FAS good points you already mentioned, value based education & in these times also it is so economical.

Whats your thinking between Amity Sec 6 and DPSGV. I have got the admission for my daughter in both but not sure which one to choose.

Anybody,

Plz tell me about DPSGV...I am in a big mess coz i got a 2nd interaction call from Amity vasundra 2day and DPSGV has a last date of admission 2marow...wht 2 do shud i go for DPSGV as i have only 1 option left open...wht r d criteria of 2nd interaction in Amity...

NEED UR XPERT ADVISE....!!!

Gunjan, you have got  a second interaction call today..that means they still have seats left. Amity is a money minded school & most of the people in this forum who have option of Amity Vasundhara & DPSGV, have opted for the latter. DPSGV > Amity Sec 6 so go for it.

Whoever has responded through internet has favored FAS as compared DPSGV.....but I am just thinking on 1 point....do missionary schools like FAS produce good senior secondary results and crack the entrance examinations such as IIT ...which DPS schools claim to have been doing for quite some time...

Probably you might think its too early in the game to ask this question...but I do not want my child to change the school post tenth class and thats where it becomes an imp question for me....any info would be greatly appreciated....thanks

HI Vivek, you have raised a valid point. And its not easy to change schools so your concern is valid. I do not have much info on this, but your point is correct that missionary schoosl lack behind in that aspect.  You can try comparing the academic results if available of FAS & DPSGV and decide. but DPSGV is not a DPS society school if you think in terms of that context, but may be they are academically better than FAS. And also may be DPS are more modern in their approach..But i also believe that only putting a child in a school which performs academically better does not ensure child's success, parents also play an equal & more important role. So even if your child studies in FAS & has the talent he will go ahead, nothing can stop him :)

One point when we consider class 12th or IIT result. DPS society takes scholarship student based on 10th result (same is true for vacancies created in between class 1-10). Verify stats when you consider result a) Child background b) Branch - Do not get confused by over all DPS chain result

At higher level (post class 8th) - Trust me it is all about child focus and environment  he gets (at home, extra classes, friends, group studies etc). Schools remains same for all child in that class.

If you want precise on IIT/AIMS result check success rate and background of Super 30. As parent we need to be more focused once he gets elder to help child to excel in direction where he/she is good at. 

No doubt DPS chain is one of the best option. Defiantly among few schools which provide verity of platform to kids.  We need to analyze branch  where admission needs to being taken.
