If people are voting in favour of the decision by DOE, then why only profession & education qualification. Why do we not talk about siblings , aluminis. Many schools are giving highest point to siblings & aluminis , therefore limiting the score. I should stand a fair chance of getting my child admitted in a school of my choice even though I may not be an alumini. Why 2 days before , the issue has come to surface. If there was so much of dissatisfaction , why did everybody including DOE not point it out when the forms were made available. The concern should be More serious towards schools like Modern ( no allocation of points - no body knows the criteria & moreover General category reservation is only 30% approx. & max. reservation is for siblings & aluminis. What has happened after the school received the notice....?? Amity School Saket - i did not find the point system anywhere on their website, what happened??? Bloom School - allocation of only 50 points balance ...no one knows???? Who gets govt job these days ???? Sanskriti school ...only 27 seats approx. for gen. category ....any action ???? MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION- if these points are not considered then WHAT IS THE NEW POINT SYSTEM???????? Let us all start applying in the schools we did not apply earlier considering that we may not score according to the point system. HOW MANY WOULD LIKE TO START THE PROCESS ONCE AGAIN ???? IS there a point system that is partial to none. ??????

Why next year. A thief breaks your house and you catch him red handed. Will you ask him go ahead go and ROB but do not ROB next time!
This is stupid. You have realised that something is wrong, correct it immedialet why next year.
Sandeep said:Ok sir maybe I misunderstood you. All I am saying is that we have come a long way from the old system of no criteria and it will take long for us to arrive at the perfect system. Let us keep working in that direction with resources like you and your website. However causing disruptions and chaos is not the right way to do it. Sumit, you sure have done a great job with this site would be really good if some of us could meet you personally sometime to express our appreciation.
Sumit Vohra (Webmaster) said:Sandeep ji ..I am also saying the same thing ..no change this year . i think there is some confusion !!
Sandeep said:ABSOLUTELY CORRECT ARVINDER totally agree with you, this is not the time to change the system. Next year maybe not this year.
Arvinder Singh said:Hi,
I think there is a way of doing things & these random thought less decisions by government won't do good to anyone.
Firstly, government is at fault for not enforcing laws properly. Similar things have happened in previous years as well; it is not a new problem. So, this move should have been forced earlier. And even if government wants to change rules now, it should be for next year.
Secondly, one can also argue both ways as to which criteria is more fair - points for parents professionally qualified or points for distance. Lesser qualified people will say they have equal rights to good education for their children & obviously this is 100% correct. But at the same time, qualified AND unqualified parents who are living in a locality where there is no good school, can raise a similar voice for equal rights. Just because there is no good school in neighborhood, it does not mean that their children should suffer. So, either way arguments can be made.
Now, there would be many parents who have got their children admission to schools having points for professional qualifications & thus may not have pursued admission process in other schools. If their admission is canceled at this stage, it will lead to nothing but total chaos. This will also give further opportunity to schools to ask for hefty donations. Some schools may even to an extreme & take this opportunity to unfairly cancel some valid admissions to make way for people who can make good donations.
So, if government really wants to implement this immediately now (for whatever reasons), entire admission procedure across all schools should be scrapped by canceling all admissions & start again from beginning. This does not look like a feasible thing to me.
So, for now, let sanity prevail & things be as they are & ensure that process is fair to one & all from next year.

I would like to repeat my earlier comments

yaa 10 points
Sumit Vohra (Webmaster) said:10 POINTS AM I RIGHT ?
Gaurav Raheja said:Delhi public school r k puram is giving points to govt officers
Hi,
I think points for Distance are also unfair as it is minimising the chances for those parents who are not having good schools near their residing area. Yogesh
