No matter how much we praise the new point system but it is becoming nightmare for the parents of kids who scored just the distance points.
Now, I think, the previous point system was ok.
I have all top schools within 3 km of my home (South Delhi) but since the criteria is 8 km and number of applications has increased manifolds (AS STATED BY MR VOHRA IN OTHER POST) in all schools just due to this, I have no chance.
Almost all top 15 schools are saying they have more application > 75 points for total number of seats. That means my kids doesn't even get a opportunity to be included in a lucky Draw. THE END OF THE ROAD FOR PARENTS WITH 70 POINTS.
Mr VOHRA Can we still think something about this??
People are getting nervous and hopeless due to this.
Find some GOVERNMENT CRAPPY SCHOOL GUYS OR GO TO SOME OTHER CITY...
I AM FRUSTRATED TO MY CORE!!!!

Mr. Vohra has some seriuos thinking to do on the new weapon being used by most of the schools especially schoosl like DPS, who are only shortlisting probable candidates having score 75 and above.
This means that only people who have their children already studing or have shifteed to delhi will be enjoying the benefits. Other candidates who fall under 70 points have no hope left. This is serious flaw and will effect the moral of the parents who have been running from pillar to post trying to have a better future for thier kids.
Would ask Mr. Vohra to have a definite solution to such a Autocracy of the schools. We are taking of a better future, but the very first step taken by schools kills the idea.
my child is already studying, but still no chance for my 2nd one as i am just outside 8km range.
also, just for you info, these guidelines are from the AAP govt. School are bound to follow them.
as far as i know, most of the schools themselves are against these idiotic guidelines and are fighting against it.
@Gaurav Chawla : If these rules are not followed Kejriwal will again seat on a DHARNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.........
Gaurav ,
As per our meeting with Education secretary , the private schools are not bounded by guidelines. And in this case the guidelines were released by Lt. Governor.
Please join our group https://www.facebook.com/groups/617718168301426/ , we are trying to meet Lt. Gov tom , why dont you mobile your friends sailing in the same boat and accompany us.Our strenght lies in numbers.
@Manu Mehrotra : There was a program on NDTV which Mr. Ravish anchored "Nursery ka surgery". One of the panelist was trying to explain the staggered point system such as 70 points for 1-3 km radius 60 points for 3.1-6 kms so on... Mr. Vohra and Mr. Ashok Agarwal were opposing and advocated for equal points for all 8 kms radius i.e. 70 points for all 0-8 kms.
Will Mr. Vohra now try for staggered point system ???? May be ...
Manu

In which school sir?????
My Letter to Education Minister, DOE, PMO, Rahul Gandhi, Kejriwal to vent out my frustration..
SIR
I AM WRITING AS A FRUSTRATED PARENT WHO IS HAVING SLEEPLESS NIGHTS TRYING TO SECURE ADMISSION IN NURSERY FOR SESSION 2014-15. IT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO UNDERSTAND THAT WE DON'T HAVE PEOPLE INTELLIGENT ENOUGH TO DEVISE NORMS ENSURING PARITY IT IS SADDENING. FURTHER I ALSO FEEL THAT THE GOVT. OVER THE YEARS HAS FAILED MISERABLY TO UPGRADE/MODERNIZE GOVT. SCHOOL FORCING PARENTS TO DEVISE MEANS TO SECURE ADMISSION IN PVT SCHOOLS. TO AN EXTENT I DO NOT BLAME THE PVT SCHOOLS AS THE ENFORCEMENT OF EWS QUOTA/GIRL CHILD QUOTA IS ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR & UNNECESSARY.. IT IS MORE OF AN EXCUSE TO HIDE THE FAILURE OF THE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT TRYING TO SAVE IT FACE RATHER THAN UPGRADING SCHOOLS. ALTHOUGH WHILE I AM WRITING THIS LETTER CITING MY FRUSTRATION OVER THIS SYSTEM. I AM QUITE CONFIDENT THAT IT WILL FALL ON DEAF EARS TO WHICH I AM USED TO
More frustrating that there are no points for the First born child. I have twins and my situation is more worse.
