The city government Wednesday informed the Delhi High Court that it has scraped the five additional points to be given to children of parents who come under the inter-state transfer category in nursery admissions. The department of education informed Justice Manmohan that it carried out a survey in 58 leading private schools in the city and found massive misuse of of the transfer points. A notification in this regard will come Thursday. In December last year, Lt. I think there should no points at all. Just pure lottery!!!
good ....equal chance should be given to each child
I agree, it means we are restricting education to the child whose parents are educated.. what logic is this
5 Points should be given to Ist born child as siblings have an advantage of 20 points already
Isn't this a vicious circle? Have a draw, then someone gets up from somewhere and challenges one kind of grading. The court gives an order on the same. Then again a draw will happen and someone will have a problem with sibling quota, then alumni and the process will never end! What is the status of children who were lucky to get a seat in this draw? Isn't it unfair on them that the draw will happen again? What about their right? Why shouldn't they go to the court as they were selected following the LG'S order? Also such procedures assume that we parents are sitting totally free at home and only have the job of going for draws and getting rejected from everywhere. This entire point system is a farce. Injustice has not been done away with rather has been replaced by a more severe kind of injustice. Hence, I strongly appeal that those who have been selected through the draw of 70 points should not be disturbed and they should get admission in the respective schools. Mr Vohra, its a very serious matter and involves the fate of many children. Plz take it up and resolve our plight.
I agree that who so ever has come in lottery should be awarded seat as he may not be lucky this time..
AGREED with atul and udit
give points to sibling...DG/EWS
no points for anyone else a fair lottery for everyone
Similary points for Siblings and alumini should be do away with
Sibling point does make sense since one child is going to same school, sending other one to same is convinient for parents and economical also. I am sure if we do survey sibling points would not be capturing too much of seat. Actual problem is Transfer cases which is scarpped now.... we should be hopeful as 70 pointers to have our name in school draw list now.
DPS & Bal bharti seats were 95 % occupied by siblings only
