When all the major old estblished schools seats are filled by alumni n sibling..WHY DO THEY BOTHER TO SELL FORMS N CONTEST IN ADMISSION PROCESS....THESE SCHOOLS SHOULD CALL UP ALUMNI N SIBLING..AS NO

Dps.modern.air frce.columbas.xavier.spv .springdales.bal bharti all seats r filled by alumni n sibling..why they call us for admission

I agree

DOE has made mess of it.never seen this type of unrest among parents

Fighting with each other

First Child Points were there till last year so DOE also is responsible as no points to first child

Till last year schools were giving upto 40 points to alumni

After 4 years of fight it was decimated to 5 points this year

Please arrange a opinion poll on Alumni point as well Sakshi Mam.. The guideline is simply biased and not digestible.

40 points...shakshi maam this has to stop sumwhere..this difference..atleast govt shld allot land for making schuls which have not been done since a decade....sad reality.....

very well said, areej. Schools should not waste their enery and resources for inviting the application from gerneral,because we general parents who has no alumni stands no where.

There should be some cap on Alumini like 5% quota otherwise they are getting undue advantage.

Yes, DOE has made mess this time. First of all they increase radius upto 8 km. many alumni resided in this radius got admission. So all seats are filled up by EWS/Sibling/Alumni/Staff/Minority quota in these schools. Parents of kids who is scoring 70 points made fool this time by DOE. Schools was flooded with 70 points applications because of 8km radius. When there is so much quota how could our kids get admission.

As per the constitution of India, limited reservation to be provided in the following person / community:-

1. Socilay backward

2. Economicaly backward

3. Educationaly backward &

4. Politically backward

In case of admission in school, if Govt. is providing reservation to EWS it falls in the perview of the above criteria (Although large chunk is misused). If alumini is provided with reservation (unlimited) it does not fall in any of the above criteria. Hence giving reservation to Alumini is unconstitutional and void ab initio and court will certainly decide in favour of general public.

What a guideline!! It will take years to clear the mess created this year. Good school alumni are now over happy by overlooking the bias/injustice done to kids...

Take back this guideline asap ..no time to think.. so much dynastic thinking in democracy kill uglier than cancer..
