What about Girl child Quota now?

Guys,

My daughter has been selected in girl child quota in one of the school. Just wanted to confirm whether there will be a draw again?

The reason should be valid if they did not follow doe guidlines

but as per you said but HC order is not valid for Girls lottery as Girls lottery were first conducted for all points(from 70 -95) and that was before coming with 1st list.

GIRLS LOTTERY IS QUOTA AND NOT RELATED WITH ANY POINT SYSTEM SO NO REDRAW REQUIRED AS PER HC ORDER

BUT IF SOME SCHOOL DID NOT INCLUDE ALL GIRLS THAN THAT IS CORRECTIVE MEASURE NOT AS PER HC ORDER .

Manava Bharti has to repeat girl child draw in accordance with latest HC ruling. They did not consider 75 point girls in their original draw - hence it's invalidated. And therefore 'necessary'

if all girls were included in draw for girls quota held before 27 feb that is from 70 to 95 pts.....ll tat draw be held ahain too?

@Kunal - In case your scenario is true, the draw remains VALID.

This is true for Shriram school - and DPS VK and many other schools and they will NOT repeat the DOL for girls. But some others may have to do so, after new HC ruling, to cater for 'equal opportunity'.

This is a very tricky situation. If a school has seats left for 70 pointers before 27 Feb notification that means all transfer cases have been allotted seats then why will they include 75 pointer girls in the girls quota draw. Now the girls draw in these schools is at risk of redraws. @ Sakshi correct me if I am wrong.

ppl...pls understand the rule of gurl child quota. the girl child draws were done bfore any other draw and thats whyvit included all registered and eligible girl children. that is how 5% of the entire seats is calculated. after that draw..all 90 pointers and 75 pointers etc were given seats..because u cant identify how many to give till u reduce 25% ews and 5% girl child quota. so no redraws required as those draws had given equal oppurtunity to all girl child candidates. Sakshi, request you to close this discussion for replies before these ppl start creating confusions :)

Sachin... Confusion is arising because we understood what u said but still school like Manav bharti and Ryan vk are holding girl draw again.... Check their websites

I need to close this thread as Mr Vohra has been informed about 2 schools and i assure you we will take action before draw of lots of these 2-3 schools.

Else all parents will get confused.
