plz don't start this again, this has already been discussed numerous times. if you want to discuss, do it for the next session!!!

Yes..Please close this thread. Sick of all the PIL talk and people trying to act as LGs. We need to get the admission process completed by the designated dates.

Lets not get into this again, we need to move ahead with the admission process. Sibling and Alumni points can be taken  only in one school by a candidate and these have always been there, why are we getting into this. Transfer points was a widespread problem and that has been taken care off. We need to move ahead now as this is already a nightmare that all parents are going thru.

If we actually understand the problem is the 70 points for neighbourhood, all years the neighbourhood point have been staggered and that is the reason that no other point takes so much of importance, now that everyone is at 70, each and every additinal parameter creats the differntiation and is becoming a problem, it is a wrong debate we are into.

Lets move ahead and pray that all out kids get schools and the seesion starts.

We are just making a MOCKERY of this whole admission process.

The parents can take ALUMNI points only in one or maximum of 2 schools. This is justified and has been in the system for many decades now. Moreover, this system is being followed in most of the countries throughout the world.

For example, in USA :

Legacy admissions — giving children of alumni preference in the admissions process — has a long history in American higher education. Kids often follow their parents to the same school, frequently applying with the hope that they'll get a favorable look. Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/legacy-kids-have-an-admissions-advan...

Example 2 : Waolani Judd Nazarene School, 408 N. Judd Street,Honolulu, HI 96817

Are any students given priority in the admissions process?
Yes, students who have siblings who currently attend WJNS, whose siblings or parents are alumni of WJNS, those with parents who are currently employed by WJNS, and students whose parents regularly attend Honolulu First Church of the Nazarene or another local Nazarene church are given preference in the admissions process. (These individuals are not automatically admitted, and must also follow the necessary admissions process.)

Secondly, ofcourse as a parent, it is better to have both children in one school. So, the sibling points are totally justified. This too is practiced throughout the world.

REQUEST PARENTS TO SEARCH THE NET AND FIND THE PRACTICE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.

PLEASE STOP THIS AND LET'S MOVE AHEAD WITH THE ADMISSION PROCESS. WE WOULD BE WASTING SO MANY PRECIOUS DAYS IF THE SESSION STARTS AFTER THE SUMMER VACATIONS.

Shweta...i guess u are right but what I feel is that ur requests are falling on deaf ears...there are ppl who wont stop till their child gets into schools of their choice...everyone's being selfish and this whole drama of pil and counter pil has already taken its toll on both parents and their kids.ppl don't care if the world goes to hell and don't wanna stop till their kiddo gets into the dream school...and mind it , this school is not the dream school of the kids, but is a manifestation of their parents unfulfilled dream of going to the dream school...ppl have lost their confirmed seats only because of such ppl...i feel the real culprits are ppl who faked interstate points...and as its said, in India the real culprits mostly go scot free...what to do...

yes i am totally agree with you...................remove all points system.

Parent who are going to Court to maintain their draw status are not aware that when they were selected that time probability of getting selected was more since participants were less. That's why Court asked for fresh draw. Fresh draws will give an opportunity to all.
Secondly in few schools major portion of seats is allocated to alumni and siblings. Court have to look at the significance of these points also or else this will become next burning issue.
If u agree with me share it.
