@Harihar..I totally agree with you and infact have been having discussions on the same lines...to understand how we can we raise this in various ways including the formal ways to bring this change ahead...it is needed desperately. Sakshi must be able to provide good insights in guiding us

Mr Sumit Vohra has been fighting mainly in Delhi/NCR but see reply of govt off and no response from Dir Education Harayana till today when one leading newspaper approached them ,The reply was they have not received any complaint (which was sent by email and courier both)

Till the parent community don't unite nothing can be done

if you google Mr sumit vohra name you will find 150 TV videos and around 600-700 article in india (also in other countries against unfair practises of schools in DELHI /NCR)

Pls see the link of complaint by his NGO and reply by them

@SAKSHI: Thanks for your important notes.

I have been trying to understand these issues and GGN education secretary has told us in a meeting that major issue here is that legally private schools are already fighting by saying that they have different methodolgy of teaching and should be not directed by the Directorate (govt)..as the guidelines by government are meant for general cases (by this is implied all govt. institutions) and rest are private with distinguished feature offering for those who want to opt.

We should all work and see what can be done to tackle this menace.

I agree but in Delhi Vasant Valley/Mothers/Mirambika/DPS/SPV/Shriram/Convents all follow different methodology but have same age criteria/uniform fee refund policy/ Uniform window of form distribution/Result Dates.

Things are also not good in Delhi but DOE has some control. In UP and Harayana its free for all.

But DOE also is not able to control schools.

In Gurgaon RTI activists are already fighting it out connected with Mr. Kejriwal's movement (Aam Admi Party).

Poeple can come forward and bring the change they need to see..over time.

Good morning. First of all thanks to giving us the details of what all has already been done by Mr.Vohra & your team in this regard as its really very disappointing to see the way these schools are handling the situation & the unability of education directorate to do anything in this regard.

As you said, very correctly we all have to unite together as I said even ealrier including moderators & Parents because afterall its all about hassles faced by the Parents only which is not being the case till now. Well i don't like to blame the parents to some extent as it's a human psychology that as soon as we get admission we stop thinking / acting about stopping such unfair practices done by the schools.

But this is also true that somewhere down the line we all will have to stand up & unite together including parents otherwise no magic will be going to happen overnight. Moreover I feel the way these fees etc. are being raised day by day in the name of one or the other unfair practices, schools are going to build almost a building every year by parents money itself. If you have observed some of the schools are charging like 800/-,1000/- etc. for just filling the form with no guarantee of admission at all. My question is why should the form be so costly since its just the printing cost & little bit of working cost (by teacher,staff etc.) they should undertake while deciding on the cost of the form. Sometimes, I feel as if we are submitting the form of our child for some IIT, DCE, CAT, GRE exams however its just for Prenursery / Nursery.

So please be positive & I would rather once again like to request you & all other parents to unite & do try to atleast raise the issue together rather than to just feel like lost and keep waiting for these schools to take advantage of us. Even if we could be able make 10% changes in current scenario, we would feel that we all achieved something at the end of the day. Revolutions have to come to change the scenario.

Don't take it as just a long speech, but its a serious issue & we all must do something in this regard or else just keep crying & be on mercy of the schools.
