Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Athough I dont have any issue in getting her repeated in Nursery, but will these schools take her in nursery at that time, considering her age will be 4 yrs and 2 months in 2021.

I think her age will not be an issue considering the maximum criteria. Rest you can check the websites of all schools. Most of them mention the maximum age criteria or you can call them and ask.

I think most schools will allow till March 3yrs to 4yrs for nursery.

If schools follow strictly what they mention regarding age, then it will be a problem as my daughter will be 4 years and 2 months in April 2021. But I am sure there are other people like me, so would like to know about their experiences.

Hi,

My son will be 4 years and 1 month old in the year 2020.We are done with admission in formal school for Nursery session 2020-2021.He has completed Pre Nursery and going to Nursery in Preschool and we decided to let him continue with Nursery again so that he will be much mature with basics.Last year he was not much full grown so we didn't go for admission in formal school and he continued with Preschool.

We were not able to fill form only for DPS this year as he will be one month old according to their age criteria.Other than DPS we were able to fill forms for all schools.

In Pre School kids get more attention because teacher kids ratio is hardly 1:8 or 1:10 whereas in formal school ration of teacher and child is 1:25 or 30 so in my view getting admission in Nursery at the age of 4 shouldn't be restricted but unfortunately we can't do anything if they have set their age criteria for getting admission.

As you mentioned that you were able to apply for many schools except DPS. Could you please share which all are the schools that allowed 4 plus age kid.

My daughter will be just 3 years old on Mar'20. She has been selected in VBPS, Kothari, Ramagay.... but considering her age and distance i am also planning LKG & UKG from play school like Mothers Pride/Footprints and will seek admission in 1st class in formal schools.

I do not want her to be burden with unnecessary pressure of travel... let her play, enjoy and learn at own pace....

Yes it is very good thinking. I think it is the rat race that all of us are being part of to get our kids admitted to formal schools.
