Hi,

I am new to this board, but was keeping a tab on the updates/suggestions...You guys are doing a great job.

As I could see in reg no for the first day, my daughter's name is in the list of Appejay. Just wanted to check if we need to take along some documents for the second round.

hi Sakshi...i am looking for school with holistic approach with equal focus on academics as well. Also I don't want to go for schools which prescribe children to wear reebok shoes and create false sense of supremacy. keeping above factors in mind which school would you suggest I should apply to.

LVIS, Khaitan, Khotari, GD Goenka, Mayoor, GIIS

I am already applying for these schools - FAS, Somerville, Amity Noida

Hi udita,

Not Just reebok Shoes, Schools like LVIS, Khotari, GD Goenka, Mayoor, GIIS, Step By Step, TSRM, Genesis, Pathways,  .. do ask you ( Directly or Indirectly) to buy Reebok or similar branded shoes and other expensive dress materials, foreign tour packages, additional charges for after school activities like dance, horse riding, sports academies etc.

For them its a way to maintain school standard at the cost of Parents money, and sometimes they define such activities as Holistic education. And many parents don't mind spending such items, many are happier to have these.

Unfortunately after excluding these, there are not much schools left with concepts like Holistic approach.

FAS, Somerville, Bal Bharti, VishwaBharti, cambridge, DAV will be more genuine and thoughtful for the Indian Middle class. but these are traditional schools and will teach the same way we were taught 20 years ago.

Amity, DPS, DLF, Apeejay, khaitan, Shiv Nadar, The Millenium school behaviour fall somewhere in between the above two categories.
