Hi, I was going thru CBSE-i curriculum which DAV has adopted from last year & it seems to be impressive. Wanted to understand from Sakshi n others, would this bring a radical change in the perspective of how DAV is seen, from a Conventional school to the league of Heritage, Shikshantar, Scottish High etc.
CBSE-i has well demarkated categories for all round development of your child in key skill areas such as Languages, Life Skills, Social studies, Science, Maths, Performing arts. The methodology of learning is primarily through articulation, expression, etc. & other modern aids. It says the curriculum supports futuristic schools.
Are the other schools following the same curriculum also?
@Akriti,
The basis difference between CBSE & CBSE-i is the change in the way of teaching to make the content more understandable to children.
Unlike what we experienced in our school days where we were asked to ready textbooks, write on copies etc. now schools are adopting new techniques wherein children would be made to learn things using new techniques which are interesting & more easily understandable.
That's the reason government also issued a notice last year that now onwards schools shoudl try & adopt the CBSE-i curriculum instead of CBSE, but since this transition requires a proper set up & its being a time consuming job, small schools are yet to do this change. However bigger schools like DAV, Salwan etc have already adopted the same. Infact if i remember correctly for DAV or Salwan , this would be 2nd year of CBSE-i curriculum in practice.
And if i am not wrong, its somewhat similar way of teaching in new schools like Shikshantar, Kunskapolam etc. with a little change in their style of teaching as we all know when things experienced practically it is understood well as compared to the one read by us.
Rest you may also check with others.

yes, suncity declared results yesterday.unfortunately, we did not make it to the final list.Though I did have a word with the very sweet pro reema at suncity.she clarified that out of 80 final selections 35 were siblings and 20 from within the suncity vicinity.So, that leaves for very little room for outsiders.....no waitlist also that they plan to come out with.....was a big shock for me as well.......
Hi can somebody please share the result of suncity.
If anybody knows about it
Checked website..it gives no info...its contact nos. as usual are busy!
