On a serious note I agree that most (almost all of them) have their own "elimination criteria" and it is possibly a need for them and perfectly understandable. The only thing I feel (and may new other parents like us ) is that they should be a bit more transparent in conveying what they are so that parents can chose schools accordingly.

Hi Shashank , I have done the formalities today in DPSGV and happy with the choice .DPSI is just besides my house but I have a mixed review of DPSI so I am not interested now.
Yes , I agree , for Amity the second interaction doesn't play a role (what u perform ,as we all know they are not judging anything its just a simple talk between management and us ) .I suppose they already choose the person based on some criterion based on parents profile (may be the qualification ,job status , salaray etc).As if you ask for any parent everyone will say his interaction was very good but they are amazed why not selected.

@ Kamaljeet ... Sorry for harsh words used but I am not comparing any 2 schools ,all have their pros and cons .I also don't like as DPSGV was taking cash only ... as it might have some hidden agenda:) but also it is cumbersome process ..
I think school is important but most important is how the student perform ..at the end of day schools can shape the diamonds but not make coal to diamonds..

Exactly, the school is just a platform and i personally feel seeing our generation that those who had strong holds in their own family values did emerge as successful persons, so i think it is our part as parents that is going to (without any doubts) to be the most important player that will surely get the next generation to shape out definetly as diamonds.

Congrats Brijesh and welcome to the group (I mean fellow parents at DPSGV). I was there on 17th as well. I am sure we made the right decision.

On Amity I think we have all (my case is a lot like yours as you know and I relate to all that you said) moved beyond it and should now think on other things towards our kid's future development and as said by most parents it is important to be at peace in our hearts. Most parents aren't satisfied with something or the other with schools but then such is a case now that it is pure business for all schools (and as somebody said "chand mein bhi daag hota hai").

There is a lot of mess around admission processes but I trust things will change for good in sometime (I am a core optimist at heart). But till then we can't change the way schools think and decide but yes as you said decide within our hearts to see which one relates to us the most in terms of all the factors.

Lets hope we are able to give the best to our kids in all ways we can.

Khaitan school is not taking any document while submitting the form. They are simply taking the Registration form and giving the date for interaction. I submitted the form today.
