WE SUGGEST ALL THE PARENTS MUST VISIT THE SCHOOL BEFORE GETTING ADMISSION AS AFTER GETTING ADMISSION NOT MUCH TIME IS GIVEN TO DEPOSIT THE FEES (EXCEPT VERY FEW SOUGHT AFTER SCHOOLS )

Hi Sakshi. I am going to apply for Sriram school Aravalli. Getting 35 points , rest 25 depend on response to their ques. Can you advice me on what was the cut off points last year. This will help me in taking decision as I may have to miss other schools till their results are out.

Min 60-  65(i dont remember the waiting list)

Hi Shilpi - I want to apply next year to TSRS for nursery for my son... eligible to 35 points basis their point crietaria even if we score well in Parents respone which carries 25 points it makes it to 60 which is lesser than their last year minimum % of points for admision eligiblity.. I dnt know how to collect more scores as we do not fit any other category of points like sebling/staff quota/ single parent/alumni etc etc... any suggestions from ur side...

Last year they took a lot of kids with a total 60 score, my daughter was one of them. We were in the same situation, had 35 points to begin with and prayed that we got enuf on the parent response essay.

But that being said, we did confirm admission in another school before Shriram results came out just to make sure that our daughter had a school to go to

Hi Anisha,

Thank you for your response. Based on the age and distance, 35 points can be scored for session 2016-2017. Rest 25 points will be based on Parent's response. Did the same procedure happened last year too? Did you went through a draw of lots as well after securing 60 points? And any idea on Wait List as well?

Thanks,

Anky

Very roughly it is around Rs.35,000 per quarter..had taken around Rs.1.5 L on admission

thanks Anisha - so ur daughter is admitted with shriram aravali ? can u pls thru soem more light about this essay writting thing... is it to be filled online on the admission form by both parents ? also are you happy with the progress of your daughter now since shes a part of TSRS.. any visionary change u might have noticed... BTW she is in which standard ?

The essay is to be filled online with a max 150 words. The qs has remained the same for a few years, "Please share with us (in a maximum of 150 words) your thoughts, beliefs and expectations about the relative roles of parent and educators in bringing up children effectively in the 21st century"

Yes i am very happy with my daughter's progress, it is a wonderful school where the emphasis is on learning thru fun..it is not about endless writing but about understanding the foundations and inculcating the right values and ideas...

she is now in Upvan (KG)..at the end of Pravesh vatika (Nursery) she could read all phonetically correct 3 letter words..which is something as i never felt that there was any pressure on her..no homework, no holiday homework...my daughter loves going to school...

thanks for your quick revert Anisha..but do u feel that ICSC is the toughest board and this fun based learning where the kids are not givena ny writting reading work.... not very used to of spending time with books...it will be easier for all the kids to stand up well when the board exams pressure fall on their head especially post 8th standard and they need to develop good writting speed and memorising facts and figures in certain subjects... ?? ur views please

Perhaps i was not clear, i feel that the school teaches all the necessary skills but in a way that is fun..these kids are 4-5 year olds, they need to first look forward to going to school, enjoying themselves in school..learning will follow..this is my belief and it gets reinforced every time i see my daughter..

They are very used to spending time with books, they are encouraged to read, comprehend stories but undue pressure is not built up...
