Rohit Ji,

Its parents choice to opt schools for their children. There may be couple of reasons to take child out from one school and shifting to other schools.  If you are comparing academics wise then compare the CBSE XII result. GDG sec-48 is only 3-4 year old school and how can it be guarantied that GDG will be able to compete with other established schools in Gurgaon. 

I also mate with GDG principal during her presentation of school methodology. In her speech of 30 min she did not speak single word about academics, she only spoke about extra curricular activities. For example horse riding activity, Personally I am not able to correlate how my child will going to be benefited with this activity.

I am not against any school whether GDG or other. Its up-to parents, which school they find good for their child.

DPS chain spread all over India but not performing well compare to other schools in most of the cities. It can not be assumed that IF DPS vasant kunj has excellent track record all coming school in DPS chain will have similar track record.

Hi Sakshi,

First choice Lotus Valley & DPS 45 didn't happen.Finally closing Suncity school.The admission marathon ends here. Thanks to all the parents & Sakshi to share the valuable inputs in this foroum.

 

This gave a very good insight of the schoo admissions in gurgaon. Though I am verry disappointed to see the unclear structure with much hyped schools. Especially, schools with only neighbourhood criteria should not sell forms to all & also the admission dates of the schools should be on same page to simplify the process.

We got a call from DPS 45  asking us to take admission , although we din't get through the draw , I guess this time the school seats are not filling up fast.

YES.. I don't understand why dps n lvis don't come out with open second list n are calling parents after screening..n creating hype.

Congratulations! Did you pay at Suncity and held your seat when they had declared the results or have you paid now - are they accepting still?

Agree with your comment on the neighbourhood criteria - why is LVIS selling "expensive" forms to people who dont need meet their apparent vicinity parameter- UNFAIR and a method of making money! I found LVIS to be particularily unfair as they mentioned they were only taking kids in vicinity however they have offered admission to folks around DLF-III, IV, V and people in Sec 55/57 were refused..Sec 55/57 is anyday closer to LVIS  - I didnt apply at this school but a know a lot of parents who have faced the brunt of this over hyped school.  That way DPS is lot more better as the process is transparent.

Evaluating kids during interaction is a totally  wrong practice and it wont take the school's reputation very far in the coming years. These young kids shouldn't be evaluated and it is illegal!
