when they calculate distance between home and school, is it by walking or by car? because the minimum distance reduces with each measure.

Its school specific unless DOE comes with some criteria fixed. some school take Google Maps..Bus route etc.

Hi Sakshi ji ,

                Does the school insist on an older proof of residence say which is 3 or 6 months old or are they ready to accept any proof irrespective of the date / month , say which is even 1 month old especially considering the fact that distance might become the only criteria now.

Min 6 months old proof is required and very few schools ask in addition of latest bill or proof.

So how do they calculate the 6 month old proof .....from 1st April i.e when the session starts or from 1st January i.e when the forms are filled

Is Bank pass book mentioning the address AND/OR Aadhar card ( full) that also mentions the date at which it was created valid proofs of address in isolation i.e only one being sufficient

Only Aadhar card will suffice even if not very old.

Thanks a ton , however the circular does not mention that the address proof has to be atleast 6 months old . Do the schools insist on the same ?

But some schools are suspicious of new telephone/other bills..so school specific

..if you have Aadhar ..no worries
