Dear Sakshi Mam,
I have 3 options till now:
1. Kalka Public School (New School in Kalkaji) They are taking direct admission.
2. St John School GK3
3. CSKM School Chattarpur.
I should wait for second list as i have filled about 30 forms or i should block sheet, if yes then in which school.
Hello Krishna,
I stay at Alakananda and heard a lot of negative reviews about Kalka Public Schools from neighborhood parents. Academics bad and they indulge in corporal punishments. Please dont go for it.
Thanks!
Hi Sakshi,
I Stay in Vasant Vihar and my son did not get selected in any of the schools in vasant vihar and surrounding area (Vasant Kunj) is there any chance that we can try for admission in any school in Gurgaon at this point in time..?
Hi Sakshi,
You are suggesting us charmwoord.
How’s is the school if I go for it?
Secondly, I noticed you are ignoring our query about management quota.
I understand your point but we really need some guidance from you and your team since you are helping parents from many years and you know more of this from us.
Please guide us if possible.
Thanks,
Menka
Dear all,
If we go by simple logic and statistics , I think there are about 20 to 25 good/ sought after schools in South Delhi . There Cumulative/ total seats (excluding EWS and Management) would be around 1500 to 1600. With what i have seen , the seats left after the alumni and sibling categories ( left over for DRAW OF LOTS ) would be around 400 ( 25% of 1600) .
With number of applications in excess of 4000 in some of the schools ( BVN , Mothers , Gyan Bharti ) , there is no denying the fact that the number of seats available for commoners ( non sibling non alumni ) is about 10 to 15% of the total applications .
(1)So my first advice to all the unsuccessful parents would be to REALIZE AND ACKNOWLEDGE that they belong to the MAJORITY of the parents ( about 85%) who will / have not got admission in the school of their choice.
(2) My second advice would be to stop having a lot of expectations from the 2nd and 3rd list (if any). They will go first to the waitlisted candidates and quite a number of schools have a huge Wait list. So if your name is not in the 1st Waitlist , chances are very minimal that your ward's name will come in that school.
(3) Start approaching schools for the Management Quota ( MQ). Be Persistent , go in person , write mails . I can tell with 100% accuracy that not all schools charge money for these seats. In this forum itself , many parents have confirmed that they were offered seats from MQ in Cambridge NFC on the basis of their profile free of cost . Two of my friends secured seats in MQ in Indian and Tagore EOK last year free of cost.
(4) Block your seat in C grade / Mediocre schools / less sought after schools . With schools like Vasant Valley , Mothers , SPV , DPSs around we tend to forget / ignore the education given by these mediocre schools. They probably do not belong to the likes of schools that I have mentioned , but getting your child admitted to only the BEST SCHOOL is NOT SUFFICIENT. What matters more is THE GROOMING DONE BY THE PARENTS and the INTELLECTUAL CAPACITY of the child. You will see more doctors and engineers coming out of states and schools that lay emphasis on HARD WORK and PERSISTENCE.
Summary - Those who have been unsuccessful with the first list of the sought after schools are in a majority ( atleast 80% if not 85%) , so dont feel UNFORTUNATE . Keep trying " A river cuts through a rock not because of it's power but because of it's PERSISTENCE.'
AND PLEASE ADD YOUR INPUTS in the separate forum on the main page to make it easier for everyone to read your suggestions

Thank you for motivating Mr. Chaudhary..
I completely agree that schools don't only matter. Our environment and child's ability to grasp and perform matter too.
I am part of those unfortunate ones too.. Not got anywhere.. Let's see..
