Sorry to disagree with u DR Rakesh, I have myself received a call from the school offering admission.I don't intend to malign these schools but I have shared my experience

Pratibha Kale

I strongly disagree with you as far as BVN is concerned. Even now you can check on their site as to how they are calling strictly as per their WL based on DOL. They are fair and transparent to the extent that they are not giving all their general seats to alumni and siblings as is being done by so called other transparent schools who offer all seats first to alumni and siblings. In BVN they have fixed a percentage for siblings and alumni e.g 10% for alumni. If there are more than 10% alumni then they are selected as per DOL. As a result many siblings and Alumni also fail to get admission and I know this personally. To support this I would also like to refer to posts in this forum only by an honorable member that she could not get admission for her child despite being sibling case scoring 95 marks This is as far as general seats are concerned.

Now coming to MQ seats. For these seats schools are free to admit as per their own criteria and all schools are doing it by profiling etc. So what is wrong if BVN is also doing it when it is permissible.

So before defaming any school, one should first understand the complete process. Otherwise, not only the school gets bad name for no reason but also the parents will get misguided and take wrong decisions.

Dr Rakesh Kumar

Your analysis and summarization of the procedure and facts for BVN is absolutely correct , they are calling parents..........

1. Randomly depending upon their profile for Management Quota Seats.

2. As per Waitlist for General Category Seats.

And they are totally entitled to do so.........In fact they should be applauded for being so fair and transparent and more so for giving MQ seats to the deserving candidates free of cost/without donation ( as per my knowledge in my friend circle) The same has been confirmed by few members of this forum as well

Strongly agree with Dr Rakesh. That %age division of seat is NOT done by almost any school. BVN is going very strict as per DOE guidelines.

BVN - first reserve seats in each category irrespective of points. second is when they give points and ensure only that %age of seats is considered for DOL in each category.

Unlike all other schools - simply first give points, take max points as sure shot admission which doesnt give any right to parents which meet other criterias.

I don't intend to defame any school in any way, i have myself received call for admission from that school on the next day of releasing first list . Just sharing my experience. They were calling to have a discussion with principal, but my daughter got selected in vasant valley which is near, so secured admission there.I was just proposing a theory for multiple list. Even i wish that schools should not be defamed be it Amity BVN or DPS MR.

Pratibha

I have tried to explain you the difference between General Seats and MQ seats but unintentionally you are mixing the two. Procedure for both is different. Is DPS offering MQ seats through DOL.

Bhawna

Probably my reply to you got deleted. I repeated my reply to Pratibha to you because you expressed your unqualified agreement with her by stating "rightly said".

I agree with Pratibha. No doubt on transparency when it comes to DPS RKP & VK.

Shelly

About BVN I would say They are fair as well as transparent as they are not giving all their general seats to alumni and siblings as is being done by most of other schools who offer all general seats first to alumni and siblings and dont fix a percentage for these categories..

Dear Alll

I agree with Dr Rakesh BVN is transparent in Gen cat quota'

Management quota every school decides as they have autonomy by HC

some do profiling, some take open donations

Pls check dwarka group how openly donations are being asked by some schools

Dear Rajiv

The 3000 plus parents applying is testimony to the fact that the school is still sought after by many.

Secondly having 8 sections with 240+ students and still maintaining a above average rating speaks volumes about the standards being set by the school. Top schools like Springdales Pusa Road barely have 63 open seats.

Thirdly the school is totally transparent in its admission process. It can easily allocate seats to other parents but chooses to diligently follow the waiting list. Many so called sought after schools like RSJMS have no accountability of how admissions happen.

Fourthly the school is one Central Delhi and many parents of find it difficult to send their kids due to the distance factor especially from north and west delhi.

Why in DPS mathura feedback poor and appliciant withdrawing ?
