WE SUGGEST ALL THE PARENTS MUST VISIT THE SCHOOL BEFORE GETTING ADMISSION AS AFTER GETTING ADMISSION NOT MUCH TIME IS GIVEN TO DEPOSIT THE FEES (EXCEPT VERY FEW SOUGHT AFTER SCHOOLS )

Hi..my first choice is shriram and then shiv nadar. Waiting for the draw result. Have already paid up at Shikshantar. Looking for advice on heritage versus Shikshantar. Should I apply in heritage or go with Shikshantar. I'm happy with Shikshantar for the primary level. My concern is the senior classes. Please advise..

Hi Pooja, we are also in the similar boat...similar because we are keen on Shri Ram > Heritage > Shikshantar (have already paid up) > Shiv Nadar...

We were also keen on Shiv Nadar ahead of Shikshantar, but couple of factors swayed us kind of swaying away from Shiv Nadar :

1. The acads are not yet proven (they yet to have Class X & Class Xii batches), last year people use to point out Shikshantar's low academic performance (73% ), but this year they have 86%, so i guess given the CBSE / ICSE boards, schools would definitely learn to deliver the results...

2. Yet to get a school tour / details to understand the hype...just had a peek into the reception area when went to submit the form and saw a banner of HCL avitas etc (I am a little old fashioned and still dont appreciate the merchandising / commercialization aspects in schools)...Would give 100 marks to Shikshantar to be open about their philosophy / infra etc (so much so that parents were able to notice the spelling mistakes by class V students and that would have kept some out of the process:)

3. Finally did not like their handling of the whole admission process (though its not the deciding factor, they said its just the second time they have done this online etc)

We are still not 100% sure about Heritage..beacuse what i understand they also follow a non conventional approach, but is it on the lines of what Shikshantar has or how different is it?...Sakshi / Parents...any insights here would be very useful

I checked Heritage last year Class Xii results (excellent at 91%), but could not find the same for this year, anyone who has knowledge, please share...

Shri Ram i guess would get sorted itself as i guess the probability of getting in very low for us :(

she is 4 yrs old featured member and did lot of research

Same with heritage - some parents in favour of alternate learning but many not in sync with the concept

They called last parent same day on phone withiin 2-3 hrs.few days back after 1st list was over

any idea how many vacancies are there as i can give you more idea

U can call their reception and confirm ,

I had received the call same day after interaction .

One of my collegue also wen the same day but he didn't receive any call.

Dear Rashmi,

I had interaction with the LVIS principal this morning and all they told parents was why do you stay so far from school (in lighter mood). Distance is the most important criteria for them and they were saying that till now they are not even going up to 5 kms. What other parents and I failed to understand that why did they call us in first place. Is this giving some kind of massage to their ego? I seriously don't understand why schools have no value for parents time. We are struggling between our office and other work to take out time for this admission process in several schools. Earlier,I was confused between LVIS and GD Geonka as GDG was new school and LVIS was established. I had heard a lot of reviews about arrogant and snobbish attitude of LVIS and by today's experience I think there is some kind of truth in these feedback. I don't know if they are rude but they definitely have a very dry and indifferent attitude to outsiders. I submitted GD Geonka fee just now and now have no doubts in my mind.

Hello Manita You are Spot On .

Yesterday we were talking of DPS being as overhyped as one parent got call when neither he was in confirm or in waiting list.

My question if Lotus valley is so sought after why are they calling parents in hush hush way that means they could not fill the seats and now choosing parents by seeing their profile.

Many parents mentioned and i agree with parents now 100% after reading posts of 3 parents today lvis is creating hype by not declaring second list .

Hi all,

I got my child's admission done in LVIS and I found the same staff very cordial in the admission process .

We cannot judge schools based on the way they talk to us .
