Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2026-27

For distance i would advise all the parents not to make this mistake of sending the children too far. I have already made this mistake last year by sending by child to more then 12 kms ( i regret my decision)

Disadvantage of sending child too far ( based on my challenges)

1. Wake up the child atleast 3 hrs early ( our 3-4 yrs old take time to wake up, take time to fresh up / bath etc in morning and we all know how morning times are busy especially if both parents are working )

2. Send them in bus early morning and they get stuck in traffic ( remember bus stops in various stops).

3. By the time child reach school he is already tired ( remember a 3-4 year old)

4. Long day at school

5. Afternoon again when almost all schools have same time of dispersal so they get stuck in traffic ( they are already hungry if stuck in traffic)

6. When they reach home they are so tired and they get cranky.

7. If both parents are working and in case you miss school bus then you have to all the way go to school to drop the child. You get late for work. In case you have private transport ( if the driver does not turned up you have to pick and drop both)

8. Now a days schools call parents for parental interface on weekdays and if both parents working , it gets difficult.

9. By the end of the day child is tired.

10. Winters its extreme difficult to wake up the child so early.

These are truly based on my experience and this is not to offend anyone and all parents have full right to take the decision but as i am a last year parent and i thought that i must share my views of sending the child very far.

Hi Asha Ji,

I also got a call from St Mary's paschim vihar and they have scheduled my meeting for Saturday. Can you suggest me what questions are they gonna ask me and if my child get selected and if I block my seat is there any refund policy.Please share your reviews about the school.

Hi Kamal,

the principal as such did not ask any question. she just asked what all schools have we applied and do we have any particular preference.

the child was in an activity class and she was asked to color.

I think it was more of evaluation. she did the entire conversation in English.

If you have been called, it means the child is selected, as they mentioned that if we donot take admission then they will be also displaying list of selected candidates on 7th which will not have our child name so it means we have first right of rejection. we are getting direct admission

have not asked for refund. forgot:) please you ask them and let me know as well:)

This really help. I'll be going to school tomorrow and will surely update u about the same. As u said If I have been called, it means the child is selected. Then how can they remove the name even from first list if I donot secure the admission.

Totally agree Meenakshi..Thanks a ton..we shall not forget that they r our little ones and in our desire to admit them in wonderful school we end up spoiling their childhood and don't give a platform to develop and learn with joy which I think is most important for early years of development . again no offence to anyone.

Totally agree with you Meenakshi , that is the reason why right from my first post I have always advised everyone to honour and realise the importance of neighborhood , that is exactly the reason why there cannot be ONE SINGLE List A/B/C. Every Parent should devise their own list giving due importance to distance from their place of residence.
