our list are sought after except Shikshanter.
Had i been looking for admissions of my child. I would have gone for TSMS/Scottish High among ICSE schools.
But getting admission in TSRS school is really tough if you are not sibling or alumni and Parents response essay having 25 points is black Hole.( Many get through back door entry)
Else i would have gone for Shiv Nadar.
First decide which curriculum you want to go for.

ll possible research on various kind of schools. I have few questions please help to respond.
My priority is definitely academics and then extra curricular activities. So following are my questions:
1) How are admissions in gurgaon schools made is it point system or lottery or interview of parents+kids? I tried to check individual school website but since admissions are closed so system does'nt show details anywhere for admission procedure. So please help to share some light.
2) Can you rate the following list of schools if possible considering academics as main preference followed by extra curricular activities and yes board is CBSE:
DPS sector-45
Amity sector-46
Salwan Public School, sectro- 1
DAv sector-14
The Shri Ram School - Aravali
St. Xavier's High School
Ryan International School,Sector 40 Gurgaon,
Scottish High International School
Shalom Hills International School
Suncity World School
manav rachna international(sector-46 and 51)
Shiv Nadar School
lotus valley
3) Do i need to prepare my kid for any interview process because he is very introvert and wont open his mouth at all if it comes to strangers.
This would be of great help if you could give me a neutral opinion as from fellow parents i am getting confused as everyone has a point of view which keeps on clashing and i am unable to decide.
Looking forward for your response

rio is :
My Child is not eligible for nursery admissions in all schools as of now ( as he is Feb. 2011 born, which makes him 3.1 years old in March 2014).For nursery admission this year we were left with only a few choices. I am considering Presidium only because my child is already doing Pre-Nursery with Mother's Pride and we are saving on the admission deposit. Next year when he will be eligible for all the schools, then we can go for better schools. If he would have been through with any marvelous school admission, then we were even ready to repeat his pre-nursery.
Now when i am having only Amity in hand, i will only go for it if its the one-stop destination for him. I want to try his luck next year with schools like Suncity,Shiv Nadar, Lotus Valley,DPS -45 etc. Is Amity 43 comparable with these schools???
As far as i know about Amity 43 is that its like any other conventional school , giving stress only on Academics(just like we have studied in our times). This is where i am struct n i am building an opinion that let my child go to Presidium this year n then we will go for his nursery admission process next year when actually we will have loads of options to apply for.
REQUESTING SAKSHI n ALL THE PARENTS OVER HERE to Pls. Consider this situation and Guide !!!

uch deliberations and I know to most of the parent's surprise, we did not fill up the forms for any of the DPSs, Amitys, Salwan or Blue Bells. I know these schools are in the priority list of most of the parents and I respect their decision. But we did not want only academically inclined school for our daughter. We have many kids going to these schools and although their parents are very happy and pleased with the schools, we are not entirely convinced (again no offence to other parents). Moreover everyone knows about children:teacher ratio in these schools and it is no secret.
In today's age when getting less than 90% is an unacceptable norm, overall development of a kid is more important. I have talked to many parents and they say, we can send our kid for extra-curricular activities after school hours, but wont it be better if it is included in the school and is in a structured manner rather than sending your child for a few more hours elsewhere after school for more classes. And eventually you end up spending the same amount of money.
We have the following schools in our sight:1. Shiv Nadar School: Heard a lot about the school and have a kid in our society, who herself is very happy and we can see it also.2. Suncity School: Again very well reputed, good infra and seems to know what they are doing. After this we dont have a single third place but many schools together like Scottish High, Shikshanter, Kunskapskolan.
I know these schools are not orthodox schools and many parents have objection towards them, but I feel a parent has to judge what is best for their kid according to their kids needs, demands, growth and other individual factors. It might work for some and not for others.
I maybe wrong in my choice but that only time will tell.
Please provide your valuable suggestions and feedbacks on my views, which would further help me make the correct decision.
Best regards.…

probe similar allegations against four other prominent schools in the state that were accused of conducting screening tests and profiling children for admissions to nursery classes.
Five schools in Gurgaon were accused by a civil rights group v r one ( president Sumitvohra), working in the field of the Right To Education (RTE) Act, for violating the RTE norms. The schools against whom a compliant was lodged at the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) include the Scottish High International School, K R Mangalam school, Salwan Montessori school, Suncity school and the Bluebells Public school. The NCPCR had issued a notice to the Haryana government, urging it to probe the allegations against the four schools. The Haryana government officials, however, claim to have not received any such notice.
“ We have yet to receive the letter from the NCPCR and when we get it, we will probe the allegations,” said an official of the basic education department, Haryana.
Meanwhile, there are allegations that parents had undergone a screening procedure in a few schools at Panchkula during admissions for the lower classes.
Amidst the reports, education officials in Panchkula have said they would conduct a probe into the issue. “ As of now we have not received any compliant about violation of the norms for admission to nursery. But we will investigate if we receive any complaint from any parent or a guardian,” said an official of education department.
The principal of Bhavan Vidyalaya in Sector 15, Panchkula, Shashi Banerjee said the school was only conducting counselling sessions for the LKG admission process. “ Candidates seeking admission to the school have to get themselves registered with Bhavan Vidyalaya. We later conduct counselling sessions where we check the date of birth certificate and other certificates for admission to all levels,” Banerjee said. The manager of the another private school in Panchkula, Blue Bird High School also said the school was following norms while admitting children at the nursery level. The private schools in Panchkula had recently come under sharp criticism for their failure to file self-declaration forms regarding compliance of the RTE. A majority of them only began filing the self-declaration forms after court intervention after a public interest litigation (PIL) regarding implementation of the RTE came up for hearing.…
o choose a school that has a mix of academics and co-curricular activities. Most parents say they are also giving weightage to safety of children.
Parents say they want a holistic environment for the overall development of their children in this highly competitive world.
Besides infrastructure and academic excellence, they want sports and cultural activities to be an important part of the curriculum.
But, as only a handful of schools are able to pass the litmus test, parents say they apply to at least six schools as seats are limited.
“I have shortlisted around six schools for my child. We have weighed them on different criteria. Most parents have the same preference, so it is important that I keep myself updated with information being passed on by schools. The city has no regulatory body for admissions and so it is crucial that I keep some backup names,” Shweta Mahajan of Sector 45 said.
Another important criterion for working parents is day care facility. Institutions such as Lotus Valley, Scottish High and DAV Public School provide the facility for little ones.
Raghav Kumar, who works in an IT firm, said, “My wife and I have very tight schedules. We do not reach home before 7pm. We are looking forward to a school with daycare facilities. Our child will be safer in school than at home with a baby sitter.”
Citing a spurt in of criminal activities, parents said schools should be well-equipped with security alarms and CCTV cameras and have GPS locators to track school vehicles.
“In today’s world of evolved technology and increasing crime rates, it is very important for us to take appropriate security measures. We at Ridge Valley School are implementing various security measures to keep the school environment safe and sound for our students,” Guneet Ohri, principal, Ridge Valley, said.
Schools are also understanding the need to introduce better technology and teaching methods. From shifting to phone tablets to introducing smart classrooms and frequent excursions, schools are trying to modify the traditional methods of schooling.
“The school’s curriculum is an amalgam of academics and extra-curricular activities. To impart knowledge, we have special montessori laboratories and an intelligence lab,” a spokesperson of Suncity World School, said.
