Thanks for helping parents :)
When you go to school carry acknowledgment receipt ,registration charges 500 in cash, get receipt, prospectus and form.
In form basic information and questions like
how much time mother spends ?
Why father should spend time?
Impression of khaitan
Nuclear or joint
Details around parents
Peer interaction
Then child is taken to another room. No idea what is asked there, child comes back with toffee.
Meanwhile you fill up and submit form.
Then parents and kids in group of 20 have interaction with principal. Brief introduction and they tell you about school.
Quite friendly and well organised.
Please go on time on your allocated schedule.
Today we had 10:30am interaction, they have given one form with 5-6 typical questions to fill and in parallel, they take the kid to another area for activity monitoring.
After 10-15mins, they take whole 10:30am parents for interaction with Education coordinator and principal. Where Education coordinator give CSPs of school.
This is overall interaction from school and they will give result on 23rd Jul
DPS Noida interaction: The process is long. Took us around 3 hours. Every thing has been covered by parents in detail in previous posts. Post registration, parents are given 2 questions to answers. Not much space to answer, so that answers have to be crisp. Questions are very generic. To add on to the activities given to the child:
Child interaction 1: Teachers take children for coloring. Ideally they want children to do this independently. However, they call parents to join if kids are not comfortable
Child interaction 2: Parents are joined for activities that the child does:
Rhymes: English and Hindi
Shapes: Sort shapes and put in correct blocks
Puzzle: 3-piece puzzles to be made (My child got a ship and he couldn't do it. It was difficult for him to arrange the shape)
Colors: They had a frame in which colored sponge blocks were to be inserted. Eg., Patterns with 2 yellow, 2 green blocks
General: They gave a board to place different pictures at correct places. Eg, aeroplane in sky, scooter on road, boat in water
Fruits & Veggies: Child is expected to place fruits in fruit basket and vegetables in vegetable basket
Principal interaction: This was very simple. Just brief introduction in groups of 6 parents.
Thanks for helping parents :)
Hi Sakshi,
Just wondering the way they are grilling the kids especially in DPS N, is this not against the guidelines laid down by the Supreme court, wherein you can't interview Nursery kids? These kids are hovering between 2 + and 3+. Do you think this is justified?
Thanks
Niki
Yes,this is against RTE.
In Delhi,No school can take interview.
Education is state subject and many schools are doing so.
Really it's not done..but dere is nothing we can do. Expecting 2-3 year olds to answer unknown teachers dat too without parents is too much to ask for
True, even I agree to this. The kids are too small to have individual interactions with the teachers.
I was very surprised when this happened in Khaitan school and after that my son did not agree to go to another school after the interaction. This is completely unethical.
