Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

please let me know how to calculate distance as it is motarble distance or aerial distance. as nothing has mentioned in school website they simply asking for distance in this case what should be the calculation method.

Completed registration form needs to be submitted latest by 4:00 pm on Tuesday, 31^st January 2017.
Total number of seats available is 112. [Open seats –84, Seats under the Disadvantaged groups and Weaker sections -28 (25% of total seats)
The Shri Ram School has a split campus. The Junior School is in Vasant Vihar and the Senior School is in DLF Phase III, Gurugram.
The Shri Ram School offers ISC/ICSE, NIOS, CIE & IB Diploma Programme

The criteria for admission for open seats are as follows:
Neighbourhood


(a)	Criteria for Neighbourhood
(i)	Admission shall first be offered to students residing within 1 km of the school.
(ii)	In case the vacancy remains unfilled, students residing within 1 to 3 kms of the school shall be admitted.
(iii)	If there are still vacancies, then the admission shall be offered to other students residing within 3 to 6 kms of the school.
(iv)	Students residing beyond 6 kms shall be admitted only in case vacancies remain unfilled even after considering all the students within 6 kms area.
(b)	Process of Admission within Neighbourhood
(i)	Applications having residence within the neighbourhood range of 0-1 km shall be segregated
(ii)	Out of the total applications from the first neighbourhood range of 0-1 km, the school shall first give admission to all siblings.
(iii)	If the applications of sibling category, in neighbourhood range of 0-1 km are in excess of the open seats, the draw of lots of all sibling applications (which have residence within 1 km), shall be conducted to admit the students against the number of available seats.
(iv)	If the applications of sibling category within 0-1 km are less than the Open seats and if seats still remain vacant after exhausting sibling applications, the school shall admit the students on the basis of draw of lots from the remaining applications received under the neighborhood range of 0-1 km.
(v)	In case the total applications of 0-1 km is less than the number of Open seats and vacancies still remain unfilled after exhausting the applications from the distance range of 0-1 km, the applications from the second distance range of neighbourhood of 1-3 kms shall be considered.
(vi)	Out of the total applications from the second neighbourhood range of 1-3 km, the school shall first give admission to all siblings.
(vii)	If the applications of sibling category, in neighbourhood range of 1-3 km are in excess of the Open seats, the draw of lots of all sibling applications (which have residence within 1- 3 km), shall be conducted to admit the students against the number of available seats.
(viii)	If the applications of sibling category within 1-3 km are less than the Open seats and if seats still remain vacant after exhausting sibling applications, the school shall admit the students on the basis of draw of lots from the remaining applications received under the neighborhood range of 1-3 km.
(ix)	If vacancies still remain unfilled after exhausting the applications from the distance range of 1-3 kms, the applications from the third distance range of neighbourhood of 3-6 kms shall be considered.
(x)	Out of the total applications from the third neighbourhood range of 3-6 km, the school shall first give admission to all siblings.
(xi)	If the applications of sibling category, in neighbourhood range of 3-6 km are in excess of the Open seats, the draw of lots of all sibling applications (which have residence within 3- 6 km), shall be conducted to admit the students against the number of available seats.
(xii)	If the applications of sibling category within 3-6 km are less than the Open seats and if seats still remain vacant after exhausting sibling applications, the school shall admit the students on the basis of draw of lots from the remaining applications received under the neighborhood range of 3-6 km.
(xiii)	Students residing beyond 6 kms shall be admitted only in case vacancies remain unfilled even after considering all the students within 6 kms after following the procedure as mentioned above.

* The above said criteria is applicable only to the academic session 2017-18.

The admission schedule for admissions to Pravesh Vatika (Nursery), 2017-18 is as below

Commencement of Admission process : 10.01.2017
Commencement of availability of admission forms w.e.f : 10.01.2017
Last date of receipt of applications : 31.01.2017 (4:00 pm)
Uploading details of children who have applied for admissions under open seat : 10.02.2017
Draw of Lots: 20.02.2017 at 4:00 p.m.
Display of the 1st list of selected Candidates (Including waiting list): 28.02.2017
Resolution of queries of parents, if any regarding the first list: 01.03.2017 – 04.03.2017
The date for displaying the 2nd list of candidates (if any) (Including waiting list) : 15.03.2017
Closure of Admission process : 31.03.2017

Guidelines for filling Online Forms

This is an electronic registration form for Pravesh Vatika. Please read the instructions carefully before filling in the form to avoid the rejection of your form.
Each form will be issued a unique Registration Number after the acceptance of the form.Kindly note the unique registration number or take a print out of the Receipt Page. This serves as a record to know the status of your application and for any further correspondence (please have a pen and paper ready with you as you fill the form) .
The registration form will refresh while it retrieves dynamic data from our database.
Do not press the ENTER KEY to move from one field to another. Use the TAB KEY or the mouse control for the same.
After completing the application form kindly click on the SUBMIT FORM button.
To avoid rejection, DO NOT fill more than one form for one applicant.
All fields are mandatory. Incomplete forms will not be accepted by the system.
Please enter your email id correctly as you will receive further communication on the address entered.
When a user selects values in some List box & radio buttons, the registration form will refresh for retrieving the data from the database. Till refreshing process is completed the user should not enter or select any data in the registration form as it may lead to loss of entered /selected data.
Please note that when you have slow internet connection the registration form appearance, refreshing of the form and submission of completed forms may take some time, please be patient.
The areas/localities/colonies within range for criteria of selection are built in to the system. If you do not find your locality, you may choose the 'Others' category. You will then be able to enter details and the distance from the school campus.

Please Note: -

School timings for students of Pravesh Vatika (Nursery) for academic session 2017-18 are 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.
School does not offer transport facility to the students of Pravesh Vatika (Nursery).

Final admission is subject to the verification of the following documents [in original]:

Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation
Proof of residential address
(i) Ration card issued in the name of parents (Mother/Father having name of child).
(ii) Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
(iii) Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the parents.
(iv) Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill/Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.
(v) Aadhaar card/UID card issued in the name of any of the parents.
In case of sibling applicants: the identity card/admission no of sibling studying in The Shri Ram School whether at the Junior School i.e. Vasant Vihar, the Senior School i.e. DLF Phase III or at The Shri Ram School, Aravali
In case of twins, if one of the twins is shortlisted in the draw of lots then only will the other be considered under sibling category and not during the submission of the form.

ADMISSIONS UNDER DISADVANTAGED GROUP AND ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTIONS

Please note the following:

You are requested to fill in the Common Admission Form (as prescribed by the Directorate of Education) available at the school campus free of cost.
Commencement of Admission process : 10.01.2017
Commencement of availability of admission forms w.e.f : 10.01.2017
Last date of receipt of applications : 31.01.2017 (4:00 pm)
Uploading details of children who have applied for admissions under open seat : 10.02.2017
Draw of lots : 20.02.2017 at 5:00 p.m.
Display of the 1st list of selected Candidates (Including waiting list): 28.02.2017
The date for displaying the 2nd list of candidates (if any) (Including waiting list) : 15.03.2017
Closure of Admission process : 31.03.2017

Note: If applications are more than number of seats available in each category, Admission shall be done only by draw of lots/lottery. There will be no screening, written test, interview or profiling of child/parents.

Admissions for children belonging to Economically Weaker Section & Disadvantaged Group Category shall be made on the following

Neighbourhood criteria:-

Admission shall first be offered to eligible students belonging to EWS and Disadvantaged' Group residing within 1 KM of the specific school.
In case the vacancies remain unfilled, students residing within 3 KM of the school shall be admitted.
If there are still vacancies, then the admission shall be offered to other' students residing within 6 KM of the institution.
Students residing beyond 6 KM shall be admitted only in case vacancies -remain unfilled even after considering all the students within 6 KM area.

Documents required for admission on free seats :

For the admission of child belonging to weaker sections:
a. Income certificate issued by a revenue officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
b. BPL ration card (yellow coloured)
c. AAY Ration Card (pink coloured)
d. Food Security card issued by Food & supply Dept. (GNCT of Delhi).
For the admission of child belonging to disadvantaged group:
a. A Caste certificate issued by the Revenue Department GNCT Delhi (DC Office) in respect of SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) of child/Parents.
b. Medical Certificate from government hospital or a report of diagnosis from a recognized hospital. (In case of Special Need or/ disability)
For the admission of an Orphan child: Documentary evidence for Orphan/ A certificate issued by the Women and Child Development Department of GNCT of Delhi shall be considered.
For the admission of Transgender child: Documentary evidence for Transgender.
Proof of residence:
a. Ration card issued to the parents (mother/father having the name of the child).
b. Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
c. Voter Id card of any of the parents.
d. Electricity bill/MTNL bill/Water Bill.
e. Unique Identity card (Aadhar card) in the name of Father/Mother/Child issued by the Government of India.
f. Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.
Proof of Date of Birth:
a. Birth certificate under the Birth; Death and Marriage Certificate Act, 1986.
b. Hospital/Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife. (ANM) register record.
c. Anganwadi Record.
d. Declaration of age of the child by the parents or guardian.
