I have been reading posts on this site for last few months . Below are the thoughts in mind since last couple of weeks.

I am very much confused what should be kept as a budget for school education of a child. It seems there is no limit or control on the fees and it has increasing y o y basis, Not sure by spending that how much money we need to spend for our child to get good education or they will become slave of the facilities that these schools are providing . I know that there has been a sea change in the education methodologies these days but will these many facilities will help our child or will make them used to it.

What is the definition of good school these days ? By just putting our child in a good/prestigious school would ensure they will get good grades or become a good human being in future. I am sure the answer is no . Even at this tender age we are not sure whether our child would be good in which subjects or sports or other arts or would not like studying at all . Still we all are running, rushing to push our selves and our pockets to put our child in the best possible school and obviously schools are taking advantage of this mad rush and making parents fools.

I feel school will help 50% in child's education and rest 50% onus remain on the parents . Is there anybody disagreeing to this fact ?. I have known people changing schools of their children's even from the best one's in gurgaon . All i want to say is that gettin admission into a good school would be useless if we can't make our child good student. Good student for life.There won't be a good school without good students and teachers.

I guess I have written too much. Just want everyone to take it easy . Parenting is a continous and aredous exercise which we have to do daily .The school admission is just one thing and not the end of world. God Bless everyone !!!

I completely agree with you. Now a days the fees/donation for some so called BIG schools are more than 50000 for NURSERY. I didn't understand the logic behind these things. They didn't only stop here, after that there are many so called terms and conditions and one should have to follow these as per the school guidelines. There are many other charges in the name of many events. Academic is far behind. though i am not against the extra activities, but at which cost? Here for me cost is not the money only..the stress to compete many things. This is not only for the parents as well as students also. Don't know whether i am against the current education system but i am right from my point of view....

Excellent views, I completely agree with you. The way schools increasing fee y o y, I am thinking perhaps I would not able to pay school fee 7-8 years down the line Other wise I will not be able to pay fee for higher studies of my child. It is really confusing which school should I choose whether by looking world class infra with word class facilities or by good education. I got confirmation from GDG but confused whether should go or not.
