Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Please can you provide latest update as to when will the admission process will begin for Nursery admission for 2017-18 and what's the min. age criteria? Thanks

दिल्लीमें नर्सरी दाखिले पर सोमवार को शिक्षा निदेशालय गाइडलाइन जारी करने जा रहा है। यह जानकारी दिल्ली की शिक्षा निदेशक सौम्य गुप्ता ने दी। ऐसा माना जा रहा है कि जारी गाइडलाइन में नेबरहुड को तवज्जो देने के लिए सरकार की ओर से पब्लिक स्कूलों को निर्देश जारी किए जाएंगे। ऐसे अभिभावक जिनका एक बच्चा स्कूल में पढ़ रहा है और वह दूसरे का दाखिला भी उसी स्कूलों में कराना चाहते हैं, तो कुछ सीटें सिबलिंग के लिए रिजर्व रखने का फार्मूला जारी किया जा सकता है।
फिलहाल दिल्ली के अभिभावक पिछले साल की तुलना में अभी तक नर्सरी दाखिला गाइडलाइन जारी होने से परेशान हैं। पब्लिक स्कूलों की ओर से भी शिक्षा निदेशालय पर यह दबाव बनाया जा रहा था कि अगर 20 दिसंबर तक निदेशालय गाइडलाइन जारी नहीं करता तो स्कूल 1 जनवरी से दाखिला रजिस्ट्रेशन शुरू कर 31 जुलाई तक दाखिले प्रक्रिया को पूरा कर लिया जाएगा। शिक्षा निदेशालय के सूत्र बताते हैं कि इस बार स्कूलों पर एक किलोमीटर के दायरे में नर्सरी के अंदर पहले सीटें भरने का दबाव रहेगा। अगर सीटें बचती हैं, तो ही स्कूल उससे अधिक दूरी के बच्चों को दाखिला दे सकेंगे। दाखिले में यह गाइडलाइन पब्लिक स्कूलों को परेशान कर सकती है, क्योंकि सरकार यह मानती है कि छोटे बच्चों के लिए स्कूल जितना घर के पास होगा, उतना ही बच्चा अच्छे से ग्रोथ कर सकेगा। अभी तक स्कूलों पर आरोप यह लगते रहे हैं कि 10-15 किलोमीटर की दूरी होने के बावजूद धनाढ्य वर्ग के लोग अपने बच्चे का दाखिला लाखों रुपए डोनेशन देकर स्कूल में करा लेते हैं, जबकि जिस आबादी के आसपास स्कूल बसा है, वहां के बच्चे दाखिले से वंचित रह जाते हैं। खैर जो भी गाइडलाइन जारी होगी वह सोमवार को सामने जाएगी।

^पिछले साल 8 दिसंबर तक सरकार की ओर से गाइडलाइन जारी कर दी गई थी। हमारी वेबसाइट पर रोजाना हजारों परिवार सवाल कर रहे हैं कि सरकार क्या गाइडलाइन ला रही है? कब दाखिले रजिस्ट्रेशन शुरू होंगे? शिक्षा निदेशालय से यही मांग है कि जो भी गाइडलाइन हो, पेरेंट्स फ्रेंडली हो। जिससे दाखिले की उलझन सुलझे कि और उलझ जाए। सुमितवोहरा, नर्सरी डॉटकॉम के संचालक
^शिक्षामंत्री को हमने दो टूक लिखा है कि हाईकोर्ट, सुप्रीम कोर्ट और एजुकेशन एक्ट का अधिनियम 145 स्कूलों को यह स्वायत्तता देता है कि दाखिले के लिए क्राइटेरिया स्कूल प्रबंधन तय करें। गांगुली कमेटी ने भी यही फार्मूला नर्सरी दाखिले पर बनाया था। जिसमें सभी वर्गों का ध्यान रखा था। अगर सरकार केवल एक किलोमीटर के दायरे में दाखिले का नया नियम लाती है तो स्कूलों के पास कोर्ट का विकल्प भी खुला है। एसकेभट्टाचार्य, प्राइवेट और एनएडेड स्कूलों की लीगल संस्था एक्शन कमेटी के अध्यक्ष

Hi Sakshi,

Eagerly waiting for admission of our daughter in Nursery in Delhi. However both of us parents would be traveling outside Delhi on work committments in Jan first 2 weeks.

Based on your prior year experience, are parents required to be present physically for admission process (form submissions, lucky draw, documents submission and fee payment)? Or can someone from immediate family (grandfather, uncle etc.) can represent parents for the process? Please do let me know so that we can plan better.

Hello Ankita,

I was a parent who applied last year for nursery admission, based on my experience i would suggest if one of the parent if possible can postpone the travel plan.

Though most of the schools require online registration , upload of pictures on forms, details of family and reason of choosing particular schools, various other documents needs to be attached. This all requires a lot of time and in your case i do not know how much other family members are committed to do this ? Are grandparents or uncle technical savy ? In some schools physical forms need to be submitted so will uncle or grandparent will be able to do that ? You need to look at all these aspects.

In case you cannot postpone the plans you can still fill the forms while you are travelling. Just keep a scan of all documents like birth certificate, address proof , photo of both parent and child in jpg format, affidavit of girl child / first born etc. Check the schools where the forms are online and you just need to fill the forms whereever you are.
