Sakshi and other parents please give your inputs.. i stay in model town& my son's name has come in the first list of The ShriRam school Vasant Vihar as his father is an alumni of the school..should i send my child that far?? Anyone knows any carpools taking place from north delhi?

Not recommended. Return From school to Model  town at 2 pm would take 1.5 -2 hours, given that the bus would keep dropping other kids also. This is a torture for a 3 yrs old kid !! 

Carpools to south delhi for nursery kids - Since you are an exception that you have got selected, there wont be any more parents from North who would have been so lucky ..... you wont find such parents easily and the distance would still remain a torture.

Esha - I agree with Dr Rohit's view. However, if you wish to keep the option open, I suggest you visit the school on a working day either in the morning when it starts or towards the end and explore transport options in consultation with the private school transport operators or school transport dept. It would give u a clearer picture. All the best

Our decision should depend on what options we have. Compare the schools with distance as an important criteria. If you are not getting good school near your house then it makes sense to send him to a school like Shriram, even if it is far off. You can admit him in Shriram and if you find it difficult to cope up (distance wise), you can try in a good school in your neighborhood for KG and I am sure based on Shriram basis you would get many good options. This can be tried for Nursery also in coming weeks after taking admission in Shriram for Nursery.

You r lucky that u got through Shriram...My suggestion provide ur own transport..a driver n car...
