ADMISSION CRITERIA
Admission to Pre-School (Nursery) is open to all eligible children without any
discrimination of caste, creed, colour, sex, religion or nationality.
1. AGE ELIGIBILITY – The Child should be 3 years + as on 31st March 2024, but
less than 4 years of age as on 31st March 2024.
2. 100 POINT SCALE –
(i) Residence Location – 60 Points Maximum
Every child will be awarded between 00 to 60 points depending on the Ariel
distance of his/her residence from the School as per the following categories:

(ii) Sibling – 20 Points –
If one or more sibling of the child is/are studying in this School, he/she shall
be awarded 20 points.
(iii) School Alumni – 20 Points Maximum –
A child will be awarded 20 points if both father and mother are alumni.
In case either parent is alumnus/alumna, 10 points will be awarded to the
child.
A Final List of Children selected for admission will be drawn in order of merit which
will be arrived at after adding all the points secured by each child according to the
terms and conditions set out in paras (i) to (iii) above.
In case there are more children scoring similar total than the seats available, the
selection will be made on the basis of draw of lots in the presence of parents.

Transport will be provided on existing routes only. Since limited transport facilities are
available on specific routes, admission will not automatically ensure a seat in the school

INFORMATION REGARDING ADMISSION FOR THEACADEMIC YEAR
APRIL 2024 -- MARCH 2025
Kindly note the following admission guidelines:- 1. Admission form is available online only.
2. You must have the following documents/information at the time of applying as these are mandatory for
filling the form.
Recent Colour passport size photo of the child (in jpg/jpeg format).
The dimensions of the photo must be 100*80 pixels and the digital size of each photo must beless than 20KB.Background of the photo should be white in colour.
Valid Email ID and phone number.
Before filling the form please read all instructions carefully including the criteria of the school.
3. Fill in the particulars of the child (i.e. Name, parents name and date of birth correctly) in the onlineregistration form. The date of birth, name of the applicant, father’s and mother’s name filled in the formmust tally with the one recorded in the birth certificate of the child. Kindly check all requisite details before final submission as no correction is allowed after submissionof the hard copy of the form.
4. If any applicant is found to have fabricated /false information, registration will be rejected and it will not
be considered for admission.
5. If more than one application form is provided for one candidate then all the forms will be rejected.
6. It is to be ensured that the admission form is printed on single sided paper ( A4 size 100 GSM)
7. Print the form and acknowledgement receipt generated by the system once the form is submittedsuccessfully. Submit the hard copy of form with acknowledgement slip and supporting documents, along with Rs 25/- in the school office between 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM from 23/11/2023 to 15/12/2023 onworking days. The application will be considered once the hard copy is submitted withacknowledgement slip and supporting documents in the school office.
8. Note down the username and password on the acknowledgement receipt for your future reference. 9. School will not provide transport facility to Pre-school children. 10. For distance calculation, it is mandatory to choose the location from the suggestions only.(Google mapby road)
11. Last date of submission of form is on 15-12-2023 by 1:00 PM ONLY.
12. Any action to influence the admission procedure will go against the candidate concerned.
13. The school does not accept any donations for admission. Parents should beware of third parties makingfalse claims of procuring admission and collecting money on behalf of the school. If they enter into anytransaction with such parties, they will be doing so at their own risk and the school shall not beresponsible for it. The school will appreciate to know if there is any person or persons so that proper
legal action can be taken against them.
14. The age relaxation for admission of upto 30 days may be granted at the level of head of school in theupper age limit for these classes. The parents may approach the Head of School/Principal for seekingage relaxation through a manual application.
15. No telephonic enquiry about admissions will be entertained.
16. The draw of lots (if any) will be for the eligible candidates and will be held on 20-01-2024 at 3:00 PM. 17. The list of successful applicants will be displayed on the school notice board as well as website(www.sgs.edu.in) at 3 pm as per details given below. List Details List Display Dates Time

18. Instructions about checking of documents and fees payment will be displayed along with the list. 19. For online application please log on to www.sgs.edu.in.
20. Self attested photocopy (any one parent) of the following documents are to be submitted along with theForm.
No original documents to be given.
a) Photocopy of the Birth Certificate of the applicant child from Municipal Corporation/Local
authority should be attached to the Application Form.
b) Proof of residence (Parents Passport/Voter I- Card/Electricity Bill/MTNL Telephone Bill/Water
Bill/Aadhaar card/Ration card/Domicile certificate) –attach any one. c) Proof of sibling in St George’s school – (I card photocopy or diary front page).
d) Only religious minority (Christian) Membership Letter from the concerned Church and no
recommendation letter.
e) Proof of Alumni of St George’s school (XII passing out Certificate).
Note: Changes if any will be applicable as per the specifications by the Directorate of Education, Govt. of
NCT, Delhi. The school will not be responsible in such a situation.

I. Distance will be calculated based on the Google map(By road)
II. In case the vacancy remains unfilled, students residing within 1 to 3 kms ofthe school shall be admitted.
III. If still the vacancies remain unfilled, then the admission shall be offered toother students residing within 3 to 6 kms of the school.
IV. Students residing beyond 6 kms shall be admitted only in case vacanciesremain unfilled even after considering all the students within 6 kms area.
If seats in the above category remain unfilled the same will be treated as general
category and admission to these seats will be on the basis of draw of lots.
No EWS/DG/CWSN Category for Minority Schools.
