Ekta

Not much has changed and admissions are opened round the year.

Got it so it's just a panic created by schools so to block a seat. It's so horrifying the way seats are blocked and with different schools at different timings of admissions.

Hi Ekta.. I guess u need to select the basic ideology and method of teaching first. Then Shikshantar and Heritage can be clubbed(Say Apples) and Scottish and Suncity is one group(Say Oranges). So both are from different set which cannot be compared so depends on what you want for your child and then you can compare a heritage to a Shikshantar.. Thats my understanding!!

Thanks Akanksha. Can you elaborate why you would club Shikshantar and heritage since with Shik I felt it was completely experiencial but heritage has a mixed philosophy and the school still has academics and extra both part of curriculum. Between the two what's your choice and also between Suncity and Scottish like Sakshi mentioned Scottish has proven track record what's your personal preference and why?

Hi Ekta,.. All schools these days offer good dose of extra curricular activities.. From What I know Suncity and Scottish are both academically oriented with activities blended as part of the curriculum.. Heritage is No Books.. No Uniform .. No tests.. Its experience based learling and Shikshantar is similar to this.. My Choice wud be Heritage and Suncity from within both categories.. But thats my choice.. Scottish might be the best school on earth,.. The only reason I wud not choose it is as I need to be in sync with a schools philosophy..Making parents stand overnight for forms for media coverage is beyond my understanding.. They might give 100% results or whatever but what values would they impart!!!

I agree with you but that's the issue with all schools today no standard process different timings too much fees demanded non refundable amount quite high and it's a rat race now just plain business. I also felt same that heritage though may be experiential is any day better than Shikshabtar which has a feel of total experiential.
Aakanksha,
The time is upto Sept 30th, so can wait for TSRS. No other option. Btw just to share with everyone here, I visited GEMS on this Saturday and overall found it very impressive. If someone is really looking at education as a learning ground and not just as academics, one should definitely evaluate GEMS.

U mean Gems Palam vihar.. I saw a new campus near my place too .. gems Modern Acdemy if I remember it correctly!

I have also visited Gems Palam Vihar  and was quite impressed with the infra. I am really thinking of getting my son admitted there and if the school doesnot prove to be good and then will try him to move to different school in STD 1 i:e; Amity sec 46, DPS 45.

Am talking about GEMS Modern Academy in South City II opposite D Block Market
1. 2 sections per class unlike DPS with 15 sections
2. Higher pesonalised attention
3. The corridor and classrooms are affixed with education boards which have been conceptualized by themselves like having lock and key, shoe laces, alphabets, colour and numbers
4. Very nice Principal
5. Minimum training program for teachers
6. Every staff is immunized
7. SMS alerts while the child is boarding or deboarding bus
and many more

I was referring to this one as well but this is still under construction.. N their fee isnt much I believe!!

Prashant Bhai
