Some of the schools in the North Delhi as I have checked, make distance criteria of their own even that too against the order of the High Court of Delhi of 70 points for 8 Km.

Schools such as Prabhu Dayal in Shalimar bagh

1 Km -- 3 Km ~~~~~~~ 70 points

3 Km -- 8 Km ~~~~~~~ 60 points

8 Km -- 10 Km ~~~~~~ 40 points

above 10 Km ~~~~~~~ 20 points

Same criteria for Modern Public School Shalimar Bagh.

they further says that they first gave preference to students resident of 1 Km and if seats remains then to residents of 2 Km and so on.....

Means no student outside Shalimar Bagh will get admission in the said schools.....

1. Registration
i) Registration Forms for admission in General category can be downloaded from the school website (www.mpsshalimarbagh.com). Downloaded forms duly filled up can be submitted at the school counter on payment of requisite charges on all working days from 20th December, 2014 to 06th January, 2015 between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. ii) Registration Forms for EWS category will be available in the school on all working days from 20th December, 2014 to 05th January, 2015 between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.
2. Seats for Pre School during the session 2015-2016
Total No. of seats : 160 Number of seats reserved for : 40 EWS category & Disadvantaged group The reservation of seats may vary based on the admission of students. TOTAL NUMBER OF SEATS ARE DIVIDED INTO FOUR PARTS
1. 25% seats for EWS & Disadvantaged Group Category.
2. 20% seats for Management Quota
3. 5% seats for the employees of the school.
4. 50% General category.

PARAMETERS FOR EWS CATEGORY ADMISSION BASED ON DISTANCE NOTIFIED BY THE HIGH COURT
1. First preference to the applicants residing within 1 km.
2. In case the seats remained unfilled, 2nd preference shall be for the applicants residing within 3km.
3. In case the seats still remained vacant, the preference shall be given to the applicants residing within 6 km.
4. Still, if the seats remained unfilled the applicants residing beyond 6 km. shall be considered.
3. Submission of Registration Forms
Downloaded Registration Forms duly filled up can be submitted at the school counter on payments of requisite charges on all working days from 20th December, 2014 to 06th January, 2015 between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. Duly filled up Registration Forms other than downloaded should be deposited in School premises against acknowledgement from 20th December, 2014 to 06th January, 2015 between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. on all working days. EWS Forms will be deposited at school counter between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. on all working days. Acknowledgement slip will be issued to all EWS Category applicants.
