Hi Aakanksha

I got the break-up from school. The email does not have it.

Transport fee is not included but if you do apples to apples comparison - it may be 10% more than LVIS. ....I agree one time is very high but then what do you expect from the schools backed by real estate players...

I think 1000 is pretty reasonable for meal charges..it is only for pre-nursery,nursery and KG.

Thanks Aahan.. Then the regular fee isnt much at all.. I mean 6333+2000+1000=9333 + transport(say 3K)=12333 is not bad at all.. 18000 annual charges,, is this one time or wud be charged each year(with revision and one time?If yes.. then its another 1500 per month

It will be charged every year.
Kanika! please dont cover the face of Lotus Valley. I really feel sorry on your statement. May be your kid and the school is doing well. But its not a game after all. Its about the basic ethics. Who gave them rights to disrespect anyone specially the parents. What values they will instill in a child. And whatever you said these are big schools and can behave in many manner. Mind you! there are other big schools also who knows meanings of respect. Nothing remains permanent dear, nobody knows what lies in the future. So its better to stay grounded and be humble to everyone.

I agree with you Priyanka completely.

Kanika, I have friends who send their kids to lvis. Let me tell you, none of them come across as confident. For a school every parent should be important and should be greeting everyone with open arms! That is what I expect from a school where I am going to send my little 3 year old.

Kanika-- what is the criteria of good schools that you carry out screening of kids and parents where you filter the cream from the ordinary mass. every child is entitled to good education irrespective of  biasness of school. Very sorry for your thought process where you are satisfied with just your son's progress. nobody is complaining that the school is bad in studies and extra curricular. the complains is about the high handedness of the school and their attitude towards parents.

you can look in the experiences that Deepak had with LVIS staff and prinicipals ( I dont think he has made up the story just to malign the school)

I agree with you Preeti and I think I have been misunderstood. My thoughts were about the frustration due to no transparency about admission criteria. In absence of any clear guidelines this is bound to happen. It is sad and a very sorry plight! The right way is to sign up for the petition which one of us has put up on this forum and not go around making blanket statements.

I am not covering the face of LVIS, I am stating facts. I think you got it wrong! My answer was not with respect to their behavior, it was to do with the frustration on  admission criteria. See with 50 seats on hand and no clear guidelines this is very much expected!! Also about being rude, it is all a matter of chance and timing. I know some one who has treated so poor at Suncity PR but on this very forum some one just had a fabulous opinion! Isn't it unfair to make such blanket statements just to vent out your frustration? I understand that you are visibly disturbed, but let us not forget that it is our own look out, what may seem unreasonable to you, may be reasonable to someone else (based on their experience). No offences to you please. Good luck!

Kanika! you told Suncity right. I and everybody knows what happened in Suncity in 2013. Also Scottish high, just read and try to feel the insult what the parents who have undergone that must have felt. Dont be so insensitive.

I   agree with Priyanka.

Hi All,

I would like to add my views and experience about LVIS. Firstly.. The form fee and the "big schools charge more form fee thing".. LVIS isnt even near a Shri Ram.. They(TSRS) dont charge anything for applying and I have spoken to those ppl... So humble and wise.. It will remind you of the values we were brought up with. Am not sure but I think even Heritage doesn charge anything for registration(another big name LVIS cannot touch.. specially with this high headed behavior... I don't see that happening ever) and what values will they impart our kids when they have none.. But honestly the LVIS principal rightly said.. "Sanskars come from home only" and I am quoting her here. Honestly it would be so nice if kids dont carry her sanskars but that of their own family!!! Now coming to the distance criteria.. N this is my analysis but I think I am right.. Throughout gurgaon they have the same charges.. So what do they want.. Kids from closeby but a distance wherein they would need the school transport.. too close means parents dropping them off or kids walking up to the school.. Loss of good Rs 2200 per month per kid.. This might look trivial but per kid over a period of 14-15 yrs it matters.. Reception.. Pathetic.. Principal... don't want to dissect her further.. Reminding me of Munna bhai movie.. we should just say "Get well soon" to her.. Now getting on Suncity.. Another fab experience.. Awesome infra.. Grt School tour.. Well informed teachers and an articulate principal.. The school oozes positive vibes and LVIS is just the opposite .. and anyways.. they only have a corporate look alike building to boast of.. a small play area for kids.. but wheres the greenery.. M not sure if they have horse riding but I did see a horse hopping on the CEMENTED area.. Yawn!!!

I am sure I am forgetting a lot of other words of praise/wisdom LVIS deserves but this should be good for now.

Well said Aakansha...based on some old internet reviews LVIS was a priority for us, but now after a reality check we don't think this is the right place at all. They also seem like turning into a mere profit center now for management under the name of education. The principal never felt like a woman of vision or good principles to us, which shows the kind of guiding force behind this school.
