Would be highly obliged if it can be revealed as to the kind of certificate required for Sikh & Jain & also where to get it.

Go to Delhi Sikh gurudwara management committee's office at Gurudwara Rakab ganj sahib, take along with you 2 photos of child with 1 photo of father, residence proof. go to room no. 18 on ground floor, then from there they will guide you to room no. 21 and then room no. 23 on first floor.

The timings are 3 pm to 5 pm weekdays, reach there by 3 because there is rush of parents making Sikh Minority certificates. The whole process takes around 25-30 mins. Remember they would want that child should be accompanied by both mother and father. However there is no involvement of mother anywhere in the process.

Does the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee might ask for any kind of supporting documents/proofs for issuing a minority certificate? 

Also, the Springdales DK form asks for a Minority Certificate from the Minorities Commission. Will a certificate from the Gurudwara Management Committee serve the purpose equally well?

Recently got the certificate - so here is the latest process:

1) Enter the Gurudwara - office is on right hand side building complex

2) Go to Room No. 2 in basement (lower ground floor) - fill up a simple form - Only father's photo to be attached with this form

3) Go to Room No. 9 to get a signature form an SGPC official

4) Go to Room No. 18 where the Minority Religion certificate will be typed and printed in duplicate. Paste passport photo of your child (one on each of the two print-outs).

5) Go back to Room No. 9 to get a final signature from the official

6) Go to Room No. 28 on first floor, where the form will be stamped. One copy will be kept by the official and the other will be handed over to you

Entire process takes around 15-20 mins, but can depend upon number of people visiting the office. I went at around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Some more Options - Because no girl child, no alumni, no staff, no sibling points, no reservation  just nothing for Points  :( ) its better to think some more options

Hi Sakshi,

I read on some previous page that Salwan Mayur Vihar's online applications are available however there is no such new/link on their website.

Could you also fill in on the status of application availability for east delhi schools.
