Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

Dear Friends,.....One Query the draw of lottery in most schools will take place from 5th to 10th Feb & Final List of selected candidates will come on 15th Feb...Do we have to be present during the Draw of Lot & if our name comes we have to contact the school? I mean is there any chance that if we are not present during Draw of Lot, our name will be eliminated ? Do they make some document verification after Draw of lot & then puts the Final list? Many shools have Draw dates at different schedule, it is a challenge to attend all of them..

Presence of parents are not necessary ( they include the child's name in dol). Just follow the instructions of few schools were they stress for compulsory presence. Verification of documents can be before or after selection too and it's school specific.

Dear latha mam,correct me if I am wrong abt the draw...first these schools will make a list of applicants with 90 score(let's say)n then conduct a draw amongst those applicants if this is true then there is hardly any chance for first born child ..in that case should the draw be attended or not i.e.all seats would be occupied by 90score applicants...then how does a first born child gets seat in these few good schools. No chance for them by fair means?

If all seats are filled by top score then draw will not take place. Only if there are tie points for few seats to be occupied dol will be conducted. Check out few schools have revised the criteria and first born points are taken out.

The problem is worse for First Born Boys. Some schools were giving points for them earlier but the govt has scrapped that. I wrote to Manish Sisodia but the only response I got was that they cannot solve all problems at one go.

Yes, facing the same problem - if sibling criteria is fair, why isn't first born fair too? What do parents with single child do?

Why does most school prescribe the age for nursery admission as 3 years between 1/4/2012 and 31/3/2013 .so the kids only born between that age group can apply ??

But the upper age limit is 4 years , so there has to be a relaxation of one year .I can find only few school school where in 4 years also you can admit kids.Please clarify.

If my son miss out this year , then he cannot apply next year as the there is clearly mentioned age criteria?

If your child is 3+ admit in nursery this year itself. Govt has fixed an uniform criteria and 3 years since early childhood development is very important for a child. Minimum age is 4+ for KG admissions. If you miss nursery admission this year it will be very tough get admission in Kg next year.

Dear Moderators,

I am residing in Shahdra and seeking admission for my daughter in Nursery class and have already blocked a seat for her in Bal Bharti public school Brij Vihar. My son is going to Happy English School Ram Vihar. I am in dilemma to either get my daughter admitted into Happy English School or let her go in Bal Bharti School. Can you please suggest, which school is better i.e. Happy English School, Ram Vihar or Bal Bharti Public School? Also let me know any good school in Anand Vihar/Preeti Vihar. I looked criteria for Mothers Global and my daughter is getting very less points so the probability is very low to get her admitted to Mothers Global.

Appreciate your help.

Bal Bharti Brij vihar is a good school and shift school only if you have any other better options in hand.
