Hi Sakshi, I blocked a seat for my son in Cambridge Janakpuri, we are happy with the decision However few things are bothering me, as the school in charge give me the receipt of only three months tuition fee for April June July (I mean no receipt for admission form, annual charges, stationary, I card, admission charges etc), secondly she kept original birth certificate of my child stating he will get this after passing 12TH,AND third she said no fee refund in case of admission cancellation, I just couldn't understand their intentions, are other schools doing the same thing??

If  you have received proper receipts only you can claim for any refund if needed.

Thanks Latha, but can they keep student's original birth certificate for 15yrs??

Yes if you apply for TC they should give it back. If you need you can apply for more copies meanwhile.

Not sure if they can retain birth certi or not... but on a separate note, you can get more Original copies of Birth Certi from Delhi MCD Office. I have about 15 originals of Birth Certi (rs. 5 per copy in 2012, might have increased a bit)

Hi Arti ,

You can contact to MCD office and they will give you original birth certificate. I have 5 copies of my child birth certificate.

Hi Sakshi / Latha,

I need your precious suggestion as my child name didn't appear in any school other than Vivek Summit where the fee is non refundable and in a long waiting list of Salwan Montessri (Afternoon). Shall I go for Vivek Summit or should continue with his play school where the nursery wing is available and try again next year.

I will appreciate your prompt response.

I have paid 27000 as admission fees in Himalaya public school, rohini. as my baby got selected in draw of 60 out of 700 who applied , which is non refundable as per school and today was the last date so i paid around 12 pm today
I had applied in 28 school but in lucky draw she got selected in one.
We had an option of dav rohini , gitaratan jindal , st giri , decent public school and prestige convent school , all of them are giving admission on first come basis , which i dint like and the crowd of the school is not good when i been to the school.

My baby wasn't got selected in Mount abu draw list not even waitlist
But today i got a call around 4pm that i can bring fees and original docs to the school tomorrow morning at 9 and get the admission done.

Shall i forget the fees paid to Himalaya and opt for mount abu ? Or anything else ? Like both the school are of same level

She is at 4th no in waitlist of heritage btw

As I know - both have same reputation - mount Abu is better then himalya since Himalaya also sells sarees inside school premises in disguise is teacher uniforms - which change every 6 months. 

Also co ordinators are allowed to sell orIflame products.
