Hello Hemant

I think in long run it will pay...as there's nothing safer than having school as nearer as possible, and you will be choosing a good school (DPSI) and not compromising the standard.

Good luck!! Surely you will decide best for your kiddo!!

Regards

Thanks Kamal! Yes in a kinda dicy situation right now

No hemant I wont suggest u to waste 60 k ...and admission fees is higher in dpsi

Hi Swati,

yes agreed,Amity we paid 70k odd including the fees for the 1st quarter and DPSI admission fees itself is 84 K

Hemant

I think the distance factor is a big factor.....so please decide wisely....n no doubt DPSI is a good school

Hi Soma,

yes, agreed.distance does make a lot of difference but we are thinking as we have to anyways opt for transport (either private or school provided) as our son goes to day care.

Plus, whenever we have been to Amity, it has not taken us more than 5 minutes..so thinking to utilise this one week time to think and decide wisely..

btw, where do you stay near DPS I?

Hemant

Both Amity n DPSI r equidistant from my house....there r some children from my society going to dpsi and their parents r quite pleased....infact my next door neighbour's daughter also goes to dpsi....so my daughter will have company. Another reason for choosing dpsi over amity is d bus from my area....dpsi bus is d normal type school bus whereas d amity bus is one of those private buses with dark glasses....I know there will be teachers accompanying the kids but still......I might sound prejudiced but I wont feel safe to send my child in such a bus....so I will go for dpsi.

Hi Soma,

Thanks for such a detailed reply.makes a lot sense!

But I was thinking the other way round,DPS has those Yadav buses and Amity has the yellow colored school buses

Yup,we too have kids from our society going to both the schools, known faces in the bus and school will make a lot of difference for the little ones :)

All the best to 'Mihika'!!

Thanx Hemant

Actually most schools have both d yellow buses n d private buses....u just have to find out which bus falls in your route

Lemme know if u decide for dpsi....then our children will be classmates n we can be in touch with each other

We are also in same dilemma for Amity Sec6 or DPSI....Both are equidistance from home but since our elder son is aready in Amity, we may go for Amity. Other members may also advise whether it is the right decision to prefer Amity over DPSI.

Thanxx

yes please it would be of great help.

I know Kamal's child is already in Amity and so is Dr. Shruti's.

If anyone can share first hand experience of DPSI that would be great!

Thanks in advance!

Hello Dr Shruti

I think you should surely go for Amity, that will at least avoid the alteractions among siblings at home (just kidding). But you have better reasons than Hemant to choose Amity over DPSI, more convenient.

Best of luck for your decision!!!
